Hey,

How's it going? That's a little generic question I'll start off with... haha. As for me, it's going ok... hey, I can't complain, right? Or can I? :) In any case, I guess I should just start my self-summary off by saying that it can really be quite hard to do so. I'm a fairly complicated and complex person in my mind, though I appear simple, quiet and carefree. I think the best way too approach is to say that my philosophy in life is to always learn and be curious about everything that's going on around you, but at the same time be able to discard all your big ideas, laugh at yourself and life, and not take anything too seriously. With that said, sometimes I have a conflict in my mind on how to balance out my carefee/easygoing side with my want to explore and debate the challenging issues going on around us. I think I'm happiest when I'm in neutral mode though... just kinda observing the outside world and getting lost in my own head. So yeah, I love to daydream and think of, well, any number of things. haha.

I guess it might be easier to use adjectives to describe me further.... If I say too much, we might not have much to talk about in real life! just joking... I hope! In any case, here are a few adjectives:
easygoing (think I already said that), imaginitive, goofy, silly, introverted, liberal (I'm pretty progressive for the most part), quiet, unassuming, explorative, quirky, childish (I like to explore the inner child I feel like sometimes!), curious, friendly, impish, and many other things. I have a habit of being really friendly to people but in the back of my mind (maybe not way in the back though) I really just want to make fun of them for no reason. But in a nice way of course, well mostly :)

I'm often very lighthearted and just looking to have a few laughs or have interesting conversation, but if you get to know me on a deeper level you'll see there is a lot of stuff I care about. You'll get to know that I'm a total music junkie/geek or whatever you call it. No matter what there is always a song or a whole album by a band playing in my head and it's what makes me most happy probably. I'm a nut when it comes to music trivia, history and just listening too and talking about it in general. Me and my friend are on the verge of recording some insanely crazy musical things too.

In other areas... I'm huge into reading (mostly non-fiction), I like a good balance of being a homebody (watching t.v., watching movies, listening to music, and board games) and enjoying the outdoors (camping, kayacking, exploring). I'm very introverted, but I'm really into the social sciences... and always curious about what others do and think. I'm also an atheist and very into evolutionary anthropology.... I'm trying to gain more knowledge in this area... my degree is in Geography so it partially stems from that probably. I can't fail to mention that I love maps too! I used to draw fake maps as a kid all the time, creating my own towns and villages on posterboards. Random moment: I like cats a lot too!

I guess you could also say that I don't really care for parties or conversating with large groups of people, but I'm interested in what they are about or think.. and so forth. I have my own unique and strange sense of humor that I let out if I'm comfortable around you too. I have a guard up sometimes, but if we click my humor can become borderline retarded. However, in contrast to my nonsensical humorous side I'm a rational thinker (a naturalist that is for scientific reasoning to lead the way) and I try to think more with my brain rather than my heart when it comes to serious issues where you need logic to solve it. Even so, I'm a bit of a humanist and consider how everyone is feeling in a situation too...

Right now I'm at an interesting crossroads in my life where I'm not in the field that I graduated with, but I'm pretty happy nonetheless. I used to be a drafter/mapper at an engineering firm, but now I'm working with my parents at their business around the corner from me.. totally different than what my major is. I'm looking at interesting options in the future though like going back to school and deciding if I want to change careers or stick with where I'm at now. I really love any of the social sciences like history, geography, psychology, etc.... and anything dealing with evolution/anthropology. I would like to pursue more education and gain as much knowledge as I can about any career path I choose in the future though.

What am I really good at? Well, I'm a good listener... which I know is at least one thing that girls like, lol. Basically though, I'm a wealth of knowledge when it comes to music trivia and/or history, and I have good spatial/visual skills (as weird as that may sound)... I'm good at knowing where I'm at and can pretty much navigate anywhere, though I kind of like to get lost anyway - I'm always up for an adventure when I have time. There are a lot of things I'm not good at, but I won't get into that, haha. Nah seriously though, I have a lot of interests... it's just sometimes hard to know which interest to focus on instead of procrastinating and not doing anything. I'm good at writing crazy songs.

That I'm easy to talk too, though a bit cautious, shy and aloof, ....that I'm kind of robotic, lol j/k ... also that I look kinda young for my age... not sure what else though.

Books: Mostly non-fiction - mainly books about social and
environmental issues, psychology, evolution, and music. I read a
lot of Magazines like Mojo, Scientific American and Mind, and a few
others. I would like to read some Biographies and autobiographies
as well (about bands, musicians, scientists, philosophers and
anyone else of interest). As for fiction... well I used to read a
lot of that as a kid, but I'm interested in any kind of story about
human struggle, or something that could be true in reality. I liked Roald Dahl as a kid (and still do). I'm always open for more suggestions too!

Movies: Since I started my job in 2004 I've been kinda lame with
movies.. I'd like to get back into watching a lot more. My
favorites include: Forrest Gump, Catch me if you can, Blood
Diamond, Napolean Dynamite, What about Bob?, The Green Mile, The
Wedding Singer, Something about Mary, etc. I'm a huge ass fan of
documentaries too! Sicko, Supersize Me, What Happened to the
Electric Car?... and a host of other ones I have seen or have yet
to see.

As far as television, I pretty much like anything on the history, investigation discovery or discovery
health channels. Show's about people with weird medical defects, human struggles, crime/murder, how stuff is made, etc. I like the big bang theory, it's always sunny in philadelphia, seinfeld, curb your enthusiasm, south park, beavis and butthead, pawn stars, axmen, modern marvels, and a host of other shows if I do sit on that couch...

1. You are excited at the possibility of meeting someone and maybe going out... hopefully have some good laughs and interesting conversation.

2. You are liberal, maybe an athiest (you don't have to be one of course... but I know we wouldn't make a good match if you are a pretty religious person), silly, free-spirited, willing to go out or stay in sometimes, into music, reading, science, etc. or something along those lines... pretty much some or all of those qualities are cool, and maybe some other ones.

3. New friends are cool too, but it would be great to find someone that I click with and see if it turns into something more.... so anyone interested that would want to hang out and see what happens with no expectations would be great.
