Still figuring it out. I've been focused on my career for a long time and now I'm thoroughly bored with that. Right now I'm examining my options and trying to decide what I want to be now that I've grown up.

I cure my own bacon, brew my own beer, and pickle my own veggies... If I had some muttonchops (which I've have in the past) I'd be a character from Portlandia. Cooking, BBQ, photography, brewing delicious beer, camping, road-tripping, cycling (as a means of transportation, not necessarily fitness / competitive cycling), scuba diving, fish identification, zoo / aquarium touring, urban exploration, outdoor exploration, hiking, gazing upon and photographing stars.

There's a lot more to me than most people ever notice. I'm usually a lot more interesting than whomever it is that's dominating the conversation.

Books: mostly non-fiction. Notable exceptions are Douglas Adams, Hunter S. Thompson, Chuck Palahniuk, Robert Harris.

Movies: Coen Brothers, Wes Anderson, Terry Gilliam, Hitchcock, Tarantino. Horror, mysteries, comedies, sci-fi that isn't kiddie-stuff pablum.

Shows: don't really watch much TV. When I do, it's usually news, PBS, science / nature / history documentaries... I also like Archer, The Simpsons, The Wire, Game of Thrones, Daily Show, Colbert Report.

Music: anything and anything, mostly rock n' roll. I play a wee bit of guitar. My tastes change with the weather. Currently crazy into Wussy, Sleater-Kinney, Pink Floyd, 60's garage rock, 60's psychedelia, Dangermouse.

Food: anything and anything. Adventurous, but sometimes I succumb to cowardice. Love to cook, love to eat out. Any kind of cuisine... there's always something on the menu to grab my eye.
