I am liberal, lost, and optimistic.

My Self-Summary

I'm Quinn. I just moved to Los Angeles from Chicago. I can count on one hand the people I know here. I'm looking for friends/dates/people to see movies with.

What I’m doing with my life

Working part time as a nurse's aide for a home health organization. I get to take care of people who need me. It's pretty great. I'll be starting at SMC next semester to finish my prerequisites for nursing school.

I’m really good at

cooking, taking care of sick people, getting cats to swallow pills, telling stories, drawing silly things with bathroom crayons.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books-currently reading The Unbearable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundara. I just finished Dave Egger's What is the What. I love Kurt Vonnegut, and David Sedaris's books always make me laugh.

Music- I'm really into Noah and the Whale right now. You should check them out. Also the Shins, Modest Mouse, Belle and Sebastian, the Decemberists, Sufjan Stevens, Laura Marling, Camera Obscura... I could go on forever. Let's go to a concert.

I don't own a television but I like The Office, The Daily Show, Arrested Development, and Weeds. Hulu is great.

The six things I could never do without

sunshine, books, music, my roommate, my sister, other humans in general.

On a typical Friday night I am

Hanging out with my roommate, or my big sister. At a concert usually.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Both of my parents died when I was a teenager.

I'm not uncomfortable talking about it, but I usually won't bring it up. If you'd like to know more about it, you can ask. They were really cool people.

You should message me if

You're under 30, you like books, and music, and shy blonde girls.
