My self-summary
I'm an average geek.

I live in Austin doing computer things and playing around on computers and then doing the normal outdoors activities of hiking, biking, etc.

Professionally, I tell people to play slot machines for a living.
What I’m doing with my life
Life is what it is.

Most of what it is is fun. Whenever I don't have anything more pressing (typically once every month or two) I'm off on an adventure. Normally those involve going some place I haven't been yet so that I can take photos and get a feel for the place.

Fortunately for me, my job involves a fair amount of travel (Reno, NV to Gratz, Austria so far this year; with a brief aside over to New Zealand for a month) so I get plenty of opportunities to see the freaking amazing.
I’m really good at
Breaking things; Horribly, but with steps for repro.

I'm also decent at taking photographs.
The first things people usually notice about me
That I'm very quiet... until you ask a question. Then I open up with a torrent of information, all of it between highly useful and interestingly relevant.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books first.

Terry Pratchett is quite possibly the best thing to have happened in the 90s. His mixture of wit and satire really hits the spot. Beyond that, anything that has a nice mix of pleasant storytelling with good writing will keep me coming back.

For movies, I really love the completely mindless action flicks that have dominated the last few years. Avengers kicked much ass.

If I'm going to see a show, it's one of the improv theaters in town, and I'm going to have a lot of fun at it, and probably take a few hundred photos (20 of which will be published.)

As far as food goes, I'm a huge fan of everything. I normally restrict myself to only simple foods, like a well marbled grass fed ribeye with some roasted veggies and a baked potato; or a simple platter of nigiri sushi with plenty of awesome and sake to go around the table of sharing friends.
The six things I could never do without
1) Life
2) The Universe
3) Everything
4) People who understand the above reference
5) People who don't understand that reference. After all, it takes all sorts, well doesn't it?
6) Cat. He's the cat that I live with. We've been acquainted for way too long now to ever break up.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The end of the world.

It really bugs me how the zombies will consume everything. Will it be a slow burn kind of virus? Or will it be fast Rage Bug kind of thing?

There's also the whole nuclear fallout situation. Are we going to have a Fallout situation where there's enough radiation to really damage everything? Or will it be a Fukushima where everything just slowly degrades into oblivion?
On a typical Friday night I am
Staying at home with an amazing book or a decent video game.

Or out at a show with a kick ass after party.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I once mooned my entire kindergarten class... I am not a teacher.
