My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm working towards a PhD in immunology! Now that I've clearly piqued your interest, here's a little more about me:

I would describe myself as having many facets and I tend to balance and complement the personalities of others. This certainly doesn't mean that I don't have opinions of my own nor that I won't speak up- it simply means that I am more empathetic than most.

While that may sound confusing it leads to events where I can get excited listening to someone passionately describe why metallic blue nail polish is better than gold, detailing their fascination with their work on protein conformational states (even though this is exciting anyway), or emphatically stating whatever it may be that is interesting to them. I like hearing what people find exciting or interesting; I love seeing what motivates them.

I am laid-back and can find the humor in any situation so getting along with people isn't very difficult for me. My sense of humor can be unusual but it generally ranges from witty and sarcastic to goofy and ridiculous- though it takes me a little bit to find the humor that works with each person.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working in a lab and doing science, bitches. I'm also wasting a ton of time on Imgur.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
My friends always comment on how they feel they can tell me anything without worrying about being judged. I've also been told that I'm very good at knowing when people are looking for advice and when people just want someone to listen.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I only have one dimple, which most people immediately seem to poke upon discovery.

Also, everyone says my face is better in motion...which is a compliment, I guess? I think it means that if I ever get Parkinson's I'll be irresistible. (That's right, I'm a terrible person sometimes.)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Haha if you promise not to judge, the music I play the most tends to be music without any *ahem* mostly er, video game soundtracks: Awesome, right?

It also means a lot of themes from movies, one of my favorites is the theme from Amelie "Comptine D'un Autre Ete-L'Apres" which I believe is French for 'purdy song.' Seriously, I googled it.

For food, I love trying new things but Thai and Indian are probably my favorite. Sadly, I have found that things that are charred or blackened just taste burnt to me, and as a lot of Middle Eastern food is charred it limits what I can eat in that variety- I do love falafel, though.

And for a subtle attempt to start conversation, what are your favorite restaurants (smooth, right)?
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
In no particular order:
The Internet (it deserves to be capitalized)
Diverse restaurant choices
Terrible time-wasting flash games
Friends and family (a twofer!)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
-Unlocking the mysteries of the universe through science!
-Food; sometimes I think I couldn't live without it.
-A random oddity about language. Lately: Why is pronounced ark-angel and not arch-angel? Especially when you have archnemesis, archenemy, archdiocese. Did people just think it sounded awkward?
-Psychology and sociology. They produce interesting papers but boy do they have (understandable) troubles with their methodologies.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Trying a new place to eat with friends or feeding my cells...either way something is getting fed.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm pretty upfront about things, so I'll share two:
1.) It may seem silly but I still enjoy kid's movies. Ella Enchanted has a 5 star rating on my netflix account, as do most Pixar movies.
(Does this cancel out that earlier joke about Parkinson's?)

2.) One of the first things I do when I visit a profile is to sort through questions by those with explanations, it's great for some unexpected laughs.
