My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
(Note: I'm happily romantically involved, so I'm only looking for friends.)

Let me 'splain... No, there is too much. Let me sum up:

You're looking at a typical asexual. (Okay, yes, it's easy to argue there's no such thing as a typical asexual, but I digress.) If you're scratching your head at that one, look it up here: (Of course, this is not to say that I'm completely adverse to sex; it's just doesn't do much of anything for me and turns into a chore if I have to do it frequently.)

Aside from that, important things to know about me include: I've a quirky sense of humour, I enjoy clever conversation on a range of topics, I study Kung Fu, I do some running, I like exploring both urban and wild spaces (hiking is fun), I'm a creative person (and a bit of a shutter bug), I'm physically affectionate (aside from sex), and I'm pleasantly pagan.

If you're curious about any of this (or maybe just wanna say 'Hi'), please free to message me. I don't bite!

And now for a little poetry:

I grew so old, so cold
Long before I should have
Roots frozen in the earth
Love almost forgotten
Almost, almost

And I’m thinking, thinking
How I could have danced
How I should have danced
How I would have danced
Had I simply dared

Springs and summers long ago
Filled with heat and promise
I let them slip away
Too weak, almost, to love
Almost, almost

And I’m thinking, thinking
How I could have danced
How I should have danced
How I would have danced
Had I simply dared

But now She's standing there
Sunlit smile redemption
Something in me thawing
Drums a beat almost lost
Almost, almost

And I'm thinking, thinking
How I could be dancing
How I should be dancing
How I will be dancing
As I finally dare
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm exploring alternative ways to have a pleasant and meaningful life. :)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Erm, I'm actually kind of a Jack-of-All-Trades, really. I'm relatively skilled at and/or knowledgeable about a WIDE variety of topics, ranging from anthropology and art, to martial arts and the use of shop equipment. As for things that stick out though, I've been told my foot rubs are really, really nice, I give the best hugs, and my corn bread muffins are very yummm. :) (I'm also pretty good at seeing multiple sides of an argument, though, admittedly, that sometimes gets me into trouble.)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Good question! Hmmm... What was the first thing YOU noticed about me?

Authors: Neil Gaiman (American Gods, Anansi Boys, Good Omens), Terry Pratchett (the Discworld Series, Good Omens), Robert Jordan (The Wheel of Time series), Wendy and Richard Pini (ElfQuest)

Television: Firefly (and most anything else Joss Whedon), Merlin (though I've gotta catch up), Supernatural (also behind on), Battlestar Galactica (the reboot), Mythbusters, Babylon 5, The Muppet Show

Movies: Serenity, Star Wars: episodes 4,5,6 (ya know, before Lucas sold out), Big Trouble in Little China, The Princess Bride, The Dark Crystal, most anything Monty Python (Jabberwocky doesn't count), Clerks, most anything involving a post-apocalyptic setting and/or zombies

Music: I've very eclectic tastes: the shuffle on my MP3 player could readily play something by Enya, followed by Rob Zombie, then some Emilie Autumn, and maybe something by Huun Hur Tu, then finishing with some Leonard Cohen.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit

Yes, I'm asexual; however, this does NOT mean that I'm a) virginal, b) prudish, c) 'pure' *rolls eyes*, d) naive, or even e) vanilla (yes, kinky aces DO exist (and, yes, I'm one of 'em)).
