My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a laid back guy, and I am looking for a laid back girl who will like me for who I am. I like to think of myself as kind of a quirky, hopeless romantic, meaning I am somewhat awkward if you don't know me, but I'm really a a unique guy who likes all different types of girls. I may turn up on your front lawn one day with a boombox hoisted above my head with Peter Gabriel blaring, "Say Anything" style. I have made many a mix CD in my 32 years on this earth, and yes, I will most likely make you one. I really like doing sweet things for girls that I like, (I lit up the front of a building in mid-town in the favorite color of the last girl I saw.) I will also repeatedly tell you how beautiful you are until you have to tell me to stop. I'm sorry, but when I get to know a girl, and she is truly beautiful, in all aspects, I tell her that. What I look for in a partner:

1) You should be awesome

2) You should bring minimal drama to the table.

3) You should be passionate about at least one thing. It can be anything: literature, theatre, art, design, cinema, comedy, writing, marijuana decriminalization, I don't care, as long as there is at least one thing in your life that you are really into.

4) You should feel comfortable in your own skin.

5) You should have at least peaked at a newspaper in the last month and half.

6) You should be kind at heart.

7) You should have minimal arrests and probably not any misdemeanors on your record.

8) You should at least like New York, because I plan on staying here for the foreseeable future.

10) You should not be banned from any countries in the European Union.

11) You should not be the subject of any songs by Weezer or any of Rivers Cuomo's side projects.

Most of all, you just need to be a cool girl who will like me for me. And if you like bad emo from the early 2000's, that doesn't hurt either. (We could duet on the entirety of "The Swiss Army Romance".)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
What am I doing with my life? Living it the best I can and the only way I know how. I like to think that I'm continually learning and bettering myself. I appreciate the small things and I'm also a big proponent that a small gesture or tiny act of kindness can go a long way.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Uhm, let's see, I'm pretty good at random trivia, I'm a decent draftsmen, I like to think I'm an above average lighting designer, a decent writer, and.. yeah... I'm good at some other.. stuff, as well, I mean... well, message me and we'll talk. (Rock and Roll trivia at Piano's on the LES. Anyone....? "Highway 61 Revisited, 1965, for the win....."

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Life, art, literature, design, lighting, pretty faces....
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Let's see, in the last year I've started to see a movie pretty much every Friday night, so there's that..... I can be found at a good off-broadway show sometimes..... Out with friends at various eating and drinking establishments throughout the five boroughs.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

I live my life in strict accordance with The Good Book*

*The Chicago Manual of Style
(Oxford commas are hot.)

If you can articulate your thoughts in a grammatically pleasing way and you do this consistently, I'm putty in your hands. Smart girls are the most attractive girls.

I was once listening to a podcast where comedian Marc Maron was interviewing Diablo Cody, and she was talking about how she met her first husband on a Beach Boys fan board back in the day when small fan boards existed on the internet. She said one of the reasons she was into him was that he had the "Smile" bootleg and she wanted in.

I kind of want this to be my story of meeting someone. It's incredibly idealistic and I think wonderful. (I think that's kind of embarrassing to admit.)**

**Since I wrote this I've read Diablo's memoir, ("Candy Girl: A Year in the Life of an Unlikely Stripper"), and it turns out that the aforementioned story changes a bit from telling to telling. I'm going to go with the version I've recalled above from WTF.
