I am hoping to find that one truly special someone that I get along with and can plan forever. Will you be that one? :)

Currently I am living in Paola, KS. This is about an hour (little less) south of KC or 30 minutes south of Olathe.

I know I can get along on my own, but tired of being alone. I joined OkCupid in hopes of finding you. I am not interested in one night stands. (Though I miss sex and want it.) I have to have someone with intelligence and a connection with to enjoy this special activity.

You must know that family is the most important thing to me. I have two wonderful children and two wonderful parents. And I come from a family of 4 children (3 sisters and me). There are a few friends that I consider family. If I consider you family, then when you need me I will be there for you. If you are a friend, I will most likely be there for you. Just an acquaintance, well I hope you are offering pizza and beer when you ask me to help you move. LOL Anyways, you must be willing to accept my two wonderful children. I would not be opposed to a woman with children of her own already. I would also not be opposed to having a child with a truly wonderful woman that wants to spend their life with me. :) This last is not a requirement, just stating that that door is not closed.

Living life. Cleaning.

Working with children who have special needs. A very challenging job, but also very rewarding. I am currently a para-educator at Lakemary in Paola.

Creating a home by fixing up the 5 bedroom farm house on 40 acres. The garden is growing! Being part of a brotherhood known as the Yeomen. Learning all I can. Being happy with what I do have and looking forward to all the happiness to come. Want to share some of that with me? :D

I also hope to do some more film work. I have done FX, stunt work, worked as 1st AD.

Problem solving and using whatever is on hand to fix the problem. (Thanks MacGyver! And thanks to Granddad and Mom!)

Dealing with children. Worked as a para-educator for over 2 years, about a year in daycare, and then was a stay at home dad for 2 years while also watching others' children for extra money.

Using a sword and axe...I do stage combat using live steel with the Yeomen of the Bodyguard. Yes, that means you might catch me in a pair of tights. But I definitely prefer loose shorts or one of my kilts. And if you want to know what is under my kilt...I will be happy to show you, my boots. ;)

I have been told my eyes. And I have been told my height (or lack of it...LOL). I'm quiet and a good listener, till I get to know you, then I like to throw a few words in edgewise.

In action I have strength over agility, but agility over speed. Slow and steady wins the race kind of thing, and the Cautious Knight. :)

Love books, but it takes me so long to read them...dyslexic. I like to read to my children though, and will practice a book before hand. I have really enjoyed Tolkien, Jordan, Rowling, Studies on plants, Animal behavior (especially wolves and bears), Evolution, Fantasy, How-To, some history (primarily British and Euro-medieval).

Movies. *low whistle* I watch them, have worked on several, and love them for the brief escape they provide from the real world. Almost as good as books, but a bit easier and quicker for me to digest. Everything from Big Trouble in Little China to Circle of Friends (Irish film). Marry Poppins to Wolf (Jack is one of my actor heroes). Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid to Jackie Chan movies. Shaun of the Dead to Resident Evil. And even cartoons, animated, and super hero movies. Rocky Horror to Neverending Story. Indiana Jones and Back to the Future...great series and Director! Horror movies in general I enjoy, but I also like romantic comedies. I like to pick apart Sci-Fi, yet will totally buy into fantasy and movies based in a magical world.

Easier to say what I don't like in music. Don't like Heavy Metal and Rap. Though my mood will dictate what I prefer at the time. One of my favorite artists is Jimmy Buffett! Yes I am a Parrothead!! :D :D Normally you will find me listening to classic rock, country, or folk music (old style English or Irish or Scottish), and parodies. Seriously, who doesn't love Weird Al?!?

My most absolute favorite meal is Lasagna (just like Garfield ). But I also REALLY like spicy foods! Both mexican and chinese. Does Stout or a nice hoppy IPA count? I like flavor, not bland...not only in food but in life, friends, and love!

6) Someone to share forever with me

Actually I could "do without" all these things, but I would probably go quite mad. LOL

Some other things I'd like to throw in there:
---GARLIC! I love garlic! It is uber healthy for us and I really like the taste!
---Being able to walk around without any noise of technology intruding.
---My Brothers! They have been able to make my life more bearable.

Gees, you name it! I wish I COULD stop thinking...just for a little while.

Currently the three major things are:

1) My children
2) Finances
3) Next big adventure

So a mix of good, uncertain, and unknown future events in life.

And who I might get to spend this life with.

I don't know what a typical Friday night would be. I try to keep busy.

I am not really that shy, but I also have gained enough intelligence to not incriminate myself. ;)

Besides if I let it out, it is no longer private and so I'd have to change it...then that wouldn't be and I'd have to change that...vicious circle.

"Vicious Circle!", wouldn't a triangle be more vicious? Like caltrops or a 4 sided die? Though I have been run over and the wheels did not feel very good, and those were circles. Hrm?

So I like intellectual jokes, puns, and satire. "Sarcasam...we don't get that around here." How many levels does this joke work for you?!? ;D

You want to get to know me better. Maybe go have a beer or hot tea. Are serious about having a relationship (friends or more gotta start somewhere) and not just a one night stand...I just don't do that.

Oh, and PLEASE be able to have an intelligent conversation!! No, seriously! If you cannot hold your own while talking on at least a few topics......NEED NOT APPLY! They don't even have to be topics I am knowledgeable on, I like learning. :)
