I grew up in the cornfields of Indiana. After my 8th grade field trip to Chicago, I figured out the city is where it's all happening and started plotting my escape that day. Fast forward to my college graduation from Indiana University, I walked right from the ceremony to a packed U-haul truck and moved to NYC that day with no job lined up. It all turned out just fine. (I told you it would Mom!)
I'm a confident person, without arrogance, and like that quality in others as well. I like having my life experience expanded by those around me. Change is a good thing and I'm always open to new experiences and life situations. I'm adventurous and looking to add some stamps to my passport.
I enjoy the crazy fun that life can bring and always find humor where ever I go. You never know what life will give you unless you are willing to say "yes" and just live it. Just being "in the moment" is my mantra. For instance, one Saturday night, I started the night at a lecture/recital with Yo-Yo Ma and ended my evening at The Eagle for the Mr. Eagle contest. Um, didn't see that one coming, but it was a fun night for sure!
My ideal guy would ski with me in the winter, hit the beach in the summer and get in to all kinds of trouble with me at IML and Folsom in between.
Walks on the beach- check! Theatre and Art-check! Cooking- check! Reading- check! Being with friends- check!
I can also twirl anything and can ride a unicycle.
Movies: I lean towards arty/period movies, but I am a total sucker for the Harry Potter series. I think Jim Carry is an idiot (except in the Truman Show).
Shows: You will find me in the Theatre more likely than in a live music venue.
Music: Love classical, modern chorale, jazz, pop, rock, American songbook/standards, showtunes
Food: Love to cook and explore new food. There's not much I won't eat.
