The name's Rich, and I graduated Rutgers Camden with a major in Electronic Arts and minor in Theater. From South Philadelphia (born and raised!). I'm really easy to get along with and fun to get to know. I can be pretty be shy when I first meet you but aren't we all? Well ok, maybe not all of us but I don't think there's one person I've met in my life that I haven't made laugh at least once. Some things I enjoy are video games, acting, guitar, now the ocarina, drawing, 3D modeling, boxing, archery, hanging out with my friends, and of course long walks on the beach.
DISCLAIMER: I have a shaved head now because I had to for my new seasonal job at Terror Behind the Walls. If that's a problem then......sorry? The job pays good, it's fun, I'm finished with it for this year, and it's growing back fairly quickly anyway.
What I’m doing with my life
I work part time retail, and am a student, hence why the little job section says "Other". However my ideal career goal is to become an actor. I realize it is a very difficult thing to make a steady career out of. So I am also pursuing journalism, mainly specifically dealing with video games. I wrote articles dealing with that for the newspaper at Rutgers, I enjoyed it and seemed to not be terrible at it! I am however going to be in a friend's film, that we're trying to make to a professional level. As well as being an actor in a haunted penitentiary, called "Terror Behind the Walls".
I'm also still holding my summer job as a substitute gatekeeper at the town pool. YOU SHALL NOT PASS! Also I should mention I occasionally give blood. Needles don't freak me out........much.
I’m really good at
Making people laugh, cheering people up and listening to what they have to say, and also remembering random useless things from my childhood.
The first things people usually notice about me
Usually my clothes such as a leather jacket I'm wearing or a necklace I have on. Also the fact that I look like a random celebrity.
I've occasionally been told I have a good voice for radio. Which I actually did for a bit while I was at Rutgers.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I prefer graphic novels because they're a bit more accessible and faster to get through. Imagination is great, but I just prefer visual. I have recently gotten into religious mythology and all that, so if you have something to recommend that fits that category go ahead! Two examples of books I did kinda like were I Am Legend and 1984. I'm more of a writer if anything.
Hard to narrow it down to specific movies. I like:
-Pretty much all super hero movies
-Fantasy Sci Fi (Like Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Alien, Predator, Pacific Rim)
-Comedy (Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, Clerks 1 and 2 for instance)
-Thriller be it scary or just intense or violent (Like No Country for Old men, Inglourious Bastards, or Inception)
-Animated like Pixar
-The Walking Dead
-Agents of Shield
-Metal (Rob Zombie, Rammstein, Celldweller, Avenged Sevenfold, etc. Also some more orchestral style metal like Nightwish, or electronic like Linkin Park)
-Alt rock (Coldplay, The Fray, The Killers, etc.)
-Techno like Dj Skazi
-Practically a little of everything really except rap and country. If you like it though, there's nothing wrong with that. I have my preferences but I'm not a music elitist. I know it's a bit of a cliche answer, but it's the truth. Also I don't really follow modern music too closely so that's why some of my choices may be "outdated"
The six things I could never do without
-Some kind of social interaction with someone be it digital or in person
-Music, at least while walking the dog or working out
-Family (If you ask them, they may not think this)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
-What the future of acting could possibly hold for me, and if I'll go in a more computer animation direction or acting direction with my life or both!
-Funny things that I recently witnessed that I can't stop laughing
On a typical Friday night I am
Usually hanging out with friends. Sometimes it varies. Occasionally may go to a restaurant bar to eat and have a drink or two. Really not the biggest drinker, but I can be a social one if the opportunity arises.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm willing to admit that I would admit something private if asked.
You should message me if
I'm on this site to meet someone who I could potentially start a
relationship with. Main traits I'd like are nice, accepting of
others, honest, and having things in common with me helps as well.
Being very judgmental and overly critical of almost anything is
something I frown upon, but it's not a dealbreaker since I'm used
to being around those traits and it's not like I'm NEVER guilty of
it. I'm pretty content with my social circle, but I can't really
say no to new friends and am cool with just being friends and
seeing if it goes anywhere more.
