Books: Classic Literature, Historical Fiction, Historical
To be more specific, I love nearly anything by Louisa May Allcott
(classic lit) or Piers Anthony (Fantasy). One of my top picks for
historical fiction would be "The Devil's Arithmetic" by Jane Yolen.
Anti-utopias such as "Brave New World" and "The Giver" are great
reads too. An excellent book that I recommend to nearly everyone I
encounter is "The Eight" by Katherine Neville. For all of you who
liked "The Da Vinci Code", I found the plot to be more engaging,
though it definitely dates itself as being a product of the 70s.
"The Eight" partially takes place in the 70s, and partially in the
1790s. The story is about a 200 year search for... well, for
something (don't want to ruin it!) It involves, history, science,
music, astrology, mystery, alchemy, chess, and about a dozen
historical figures. There's even a bit of violence and romance
tossed in too!
I know I talked a ton about books, but I LOVE reading. I'll be
brief with the rest.
TV Shows: NFL, Glee, RuPaul's Drag Race, So You Think You Can
Dance, the History Channel, home shows.
Music: Nearly anything but Techno
Food: Love seafood (except squid & octopus), Korean, Japanese,
Soul Food -- I'll try most other things though
