My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
My mind seems to come alive at night. I spend far too much time on reddit, often staying up into the wee hours of the morning. I can come off as being quiet, shy, a bit rigid, and overly formal, upon first meeting someone, but I tend to loosen up considerably once I develop a bit of a comfort level and rapport. This can sometimes happen very quickly, or take a great deal of time, depending on the individual connection and how it develops (or doesn't). I sometimes struggle with talking about myself, but I certainly don't mind answering questions if anyone happens to be curious!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Not nearly what I would someday like to be doing (still trying to figure out what exactly that might be, really). I have a decent job and I am just trying to enjoy this current stage of my life as much as possible.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Listening and understanding!
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
You would have to tell me!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Anything Tolkien, Song of Ice and Fire, Hyperion cycle, Stephen King, Robert Heinlein. etc. as far as fiction. Mostly sci-fi and fantasy, though I also have more than a passing interest in philosophy and astronomy/cosmology texts. I am open to, and appreciative of literary recommendations!

Movies: Way too many to attempt to make a comprehensive list here, but a sampling would be as follows: Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Aliens, Ghostbusters, Indiana Jones, Inception, The Matrix, Groundhog Day, The Thing (Carpenter), Pan's Labyrinth, etc.

Shows: Arrested Development, Parks and Rec., Farscape, Star Trek TNG, Game of Thrones, The Wire, Daily Show, True Detective, etc.

Music: Pretty eclectic, but my first and biggest love was and remains Heavy Metal (i.e. Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Blind Guardian, Suidakra, Iced Earth, Tad Morose, Immolation, Megadeth, Black Sabbath, Slayer, etc.)

Also into a lot of rap/hip hop (i.e. Wu Tang, Del the Funky Homosapien, Gza, Public Enemy, Mob Deep, Dead Presidents, A Tribe Called Quest, Dilated Peoples, etc.)

Punk/hardcore (i.e. Misfits, Badbrains, Dead Kennedys, Discharge, Poison Idea, etc.),

Alternative/grunge (i.e. Alice in Chains, Soundgarder, Pearl Jam, Rage Against the Machine, Faith No More, etc.) blues
(Stevie Ray Vaughn, Albert King, Robert Johnson), classic rock (Thin Lizzy, Blue Oyster Cult, Foreigner, Bad Company, Led Zeppelin) ,

Prog. (i.e. Rush, Pink Floyd, Between The Buried and Me, Genesis, Van Der Graff Generator, etc.) and such.

Food: Tough call, but I try to eat clean and healthy as much as possible with certain fitness related goals in mind. Love to try new foods and not picky at all! Sushi is a craving I tend to get fairly often!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Music. Food. Friends/loved ones. Gym. Basketball. Sleep. Knowledge.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Depends on the schedule but probably either working or at the gym. Occasionally going out for a drink with some friends is nice too. Never opposed to staying home and watching a good movie.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You find me interesting and wish to learn more. You should especially message me if you are passionate about physical fitness and even more so if you are familiar with, or an advocate of, intermittent fasting and IIFYM. But, in general, I am always open to hearing from someone new and I value different perspectives on life.
