Hate to disappoint some of you but you're not going to get any shirtless selfies of me taken in the bathroom with my iPhone. My friends would describe me as laid back, easy going, down to earth, and genuine. I have very eclectic tastes in music, listen to everything from Beethoven to Metallica..movies, everything from Citizen Kane to The Hangover.. and food, everything from wings to...ok, maybe I'm not as adventurous in the food category but I do love me some sushi...grew up in the restaurant business so I love to cook and experiment in the kitchen. Luckily I've got a bunch of places around me in case those experiments go bad..
I am a HUGE college football fan. Went to The University of Alabama (Roll Tide!) and even though it was culture shock seeing so many pickup trucks it was the best years of my life, wouldn't trade it in for anything. I've tried to pick up the southern accent, but it just doesn't go well with my northern traits. Most of my free time is spent volunteering for a homeless dog rescue group based in DC. The fulfillment and satisfaction I get from seeing the dogs we saved (some literally hours from being put down) go to their forever home is on another level.
I have a dry sense of humor, love trying new things and exploring.
What I’m doing with my life
Been in the same line of work for a while and love what I do, just recently moved back home to Arlington (yes, I actually grew up here) commute was killing me..although I still find myself sometimes in close proximity on the train to those that do not value personal hygiene as much as I do.. My current employer is quasi-government, I'm still getting adjusted to the public sector, but I do love the college recruiting part of my job; and even though I get to go up to NY and down to Miami every year , my trips to State College and Rochester are what I look forward to the most, you'd be surprised at how great those towns are. When I'm not working or hanging out with friends and family I'm doing some type of hustle for my comedy podcast, definitely a blast.
I’m really good at
Not burning things in the kitchen, keeping a clean house, listening, diffusing a volatile situation.
The first things people usually notice about me
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
The biography of Jim Morrison, No One Here Gets Out Alive, and the biography of Vince Lombardi, Vince, The Fountainhead, Forever, Unbroken. Like reading Dean Koontz, Agatha Christie, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. J.R.R. Tolkien and Issac Isamav for my geek side.
I love movies, will watch almost anything. Favorites would be Citizen Kane, most Hitchcock movies, Swingers, Grandma's Boy, Anchorman, Old School, The Hangover, Lord of the Rings Trilogy, The Goonies, Ghostbusters, The Dark Knight, Boondock Saints, Brothers McMullin.
Punk rock, classic rock, and hard rock, EDM, is usually on the iPod but pretty much listen to all kinds of music.
Love sushi, Thai, and most seafood
The six things I could never do without
Family- Always there for support and to get me back in line when I
Friends- The greatest in the world, don't know what I'd do without
Dogs- Unconditional love, always can turn a bad day around with a
wagging tail or just a simple tilt of the head.
Car- I love mine although the brake pads don't last very
Cell phone- Feel pretty naked without it..don't you?
iPod- Because some conversations on the train are just not meant to
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Traveling overseas...Never left these great borders...Yes, I know it's tragic...
On a typical Friday night I am
Relaxing with my dog after a busy week or happy hour with friends
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I don't mind watching a chick flick every now and then...
You should message me if
You don't take yourself very seriously, like traveling off the beaten path, know how to laugh, are respectful, courteous, like to explore and try new things, and love yourself..not like Kardashian love yourself but you are cool with who you are, what you have, and those that you have around you..must love dogs...I'll give a pass for cats, but honestly, you can't walk a cat...
