If you'd like to know more about me, please READ the profile. But first, a little history so you know WHY i'm on a dating site, not necessarily interested in dating... I've been here pretty much since its beginning, which, most of us who were even aware of okC knew of it for its quizzes and tests. It was a very popular link in the (unofficial MySpace Chat) IRC chatboard. Yes, i know... totally old school. Totally GEEKY! haha... Anyway, BEFORE MySpace actually had a chat client, we developed and ran one. Now that MS has chat, we pretty much geeked out and moved on -- I, onto okC's journal community and Facebook.

Re: okC's journals --i like reading. i comment. i post every now and again. i have favorite journalists i follow on a daily basis. i meetup (yeah, real life! fathom that) when there's an event. Along with Gmail, these are 3 websites constantly open daily on my desktop.

(Update: 10.15.2011) Well, damn. i'm officially in a new decade... So then, i'm now 40 years old... never been married. YES, i want to be... though, NOT right this minute... OR the day after we meet... OR even the next time after that! i just mean... EVENTUALLY....
And NO, i'm not on any kind of biological time bomb. i have my kid. i'm FINE on time. ;) Please don't mistake that to mean i have the kind of time i had in my 20s to waste on men who only want to have fun now and who are NOT interested in a relationship, serious or otherwise. I am sensually funny, dorky/nerdy, and constantly traveling

I'm an Obstetrics Surgical Tech. I truly enjoy my job, although some of the (lazy mother-f'n) ppl i work with can make it exasperating. If i'm not traveling, i'm usually working...but only because i'm bored and an insomniac and figure i might as well be making money rather than channel surfing all night. That said, i do work NIGHTS and i haven't had TV (service) going on 6 years now...

I travel alot (for pleasure). There's lots of places i've yet to see and lots of people/friends i've yet to visit/meet. But mostly, i work hard. So, most times, i just need to get away... Give reason, will travel!
Travel GOALS:
US TERRITORIES - So as of 06/22/2008, i've hit ALL 50 U.S. States, including Washington D.C.! i have Puerto Rico & America Samoa left to do. (And the Marianas, i guess... if you count them).
7 CONTINENTS - Been to 5 so far... i have Africa & Antarctica to hit. Need to find new travel buddy(ies) too... *sigh*

2011: Just spent half of March in Russia (first time).
Went on a cruise to Alaska in July (first cruise for my daughter).
Went to Iceland in August (Straddled 2 different CONTINENTS)!

Cruisin' to Mexico for my BIG 4-0... and probably ending the year in Hawai`i .....orrrrr Harry Potter World (Orlando, FL)!

Books: Too many to list.... i love reading.
(Update: 02/2011) Just got my NookCOLOR. Happy to take any book suggestions or eShare with any other Nook owners.

Movies: Again, too many to list, although ALL-TIME favorites will ALWAYS include: The Star Wars Saga, Dream For An Insomniac, and my (not so secret) guilty pleasures - The Outsiders and Legend. i know, i know... go figure they both coincidentally happen to involve Tom Cruise... blechhhh! I'm also a closet Shaw Brothers fan-- faves include The 5 Deadly Venoms and Shaolin vs. Ninja.

Music: I like all sorts. I could probably listen to a little of every genre but i'd have to limit myself to maybe 1 or 2 songs at a time when it comes to country, foreign languages (exception Polynesian), trance, and nasty-lyriced songs --no matter what genre. Oh yeah...For whatever reason, i hate Sheryle Crow, Jewel, & Tori Amos, and 9-to-15 year olds singing about "forever love" & loving "the One" annoy the crap out of me. Like, wtf do they know?!!...

Food: I like them all too. Okay... Mostly. The spicier the better; cream over tomato sauce; Indochina over Indonesia; tea (chai latte, if available) over coffee; and i never insult the chef by adding salt, ketchup, or soy sauce to my food. However, i don't do: beans, mustard, or (cheese/extra cheese --if i can help it). I have no food allergies & i'm not lactose intolerant. These are preferences. ;)

Assuming the basic necessities of life/living (air, food, my daughter, love, sex, etc.) are a given, and NOT in any particular order, 6 things would be:

1) Access to the Internet
2) Snowboarding
3) Chai Latte
4) My Passport
5) My cellphone with Internet access
6) Island --anything: Hawaiian, Tahitian, Music, Foods, Sounds, Dance, etc.

***UPDATE (08/2009): Okay... so i got a little introspective recently and killed a bunch of sections of info on this profile that i've had on here since i signed up over 3 years ago. i realized my above 6 things were all very tangible and worst case scenario, i could probably do without and still live moderately happy. However, if i could never have THESE 6 things again, my life would probably be depressing, miserable, and lonely:

1) Kisses
2) Hugs
3) White noise of some sort
4) Have the ability to make someone smile
5) Know that someone is thinking of me
6) Cook or Make a meal --for someone else

My daughter, my cat, christmas presents for other people, the next "big" trip (did i mention i'm HUGE on traveling??!)...
Update (07/2011): Just got rid of the cat. Still thinking about him though... i hope he got adopted somewhere.

Okay fine. Here's a real answer: i've always been pretty hairless, so i've never had to shave my legs or armpits. And i don't now or have ever worn deodorant. (Yeah, i'm good like that. )
