I'm a former Marketing Coordinator for a video game company in San Francisco; I've recently relocated to St. Louis to teach college writing and am/have always been a writer. I write poems. I write fiction. I have a voracious appetite to read both.
I'm blunt; I'm warm; I have a dry sense of humor; and I love my dog.

Teaching. Writing. Considering a side job writing iPhone emoji haiku for tourists (this would probably have been a more successful venture when I lived in San Francisco).

Breaking bones. I have a metal plate in my shoulder and one down my humerus. Practically bionic at this point.

Music: Mr. Tom Petty, Steve Earle, Lucinda Williams, Ryan Adams, John Mellencamp, Johnny Cash, Hem, The Rolling Stones, Roseanne Cash, Jenny Lewis, Ray LaMontagne, The Doors ( I may or may not have started belting out "Light My Fire" in the supermarket when I was three).

Shows: Mad Men, Boardwalk Empire, Dexter, Girls, True Blood, Top Chef, Two Broke Girls, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Lost, The Wire, Justified, Sons of Anarchy, Deadwood, Breaking Bad, Hell on Wheels, My So-Called Life, Walking Dead...no particular order.

Food: Anything. Everything. But I am especially fond of sushi, any kind of bread, potatoes, and eggs (obviously not all mixed together. That would be weird).

That disgustingly infectious "Call Me Maybe" never fails to get me though the most brutal mile of a long run.

UPDATE: I feel compelled to amend this to include taking stupid OKCupid "Tests" in last ditch efforts to avoid real work.
