I am inquisitive, covalent, and down-to-earth.

My Self-Summary

Hi! I am a married, pansexual, polyamorous, Buddhist, honest, with a pretty good sense of humor (after all that, you kinda have to), little hair, and a pleasant personality.

They say you haven't lived until you've fallen madly in love with a poly, bi Buddhist. OK, maybe they don't. My wife certainly doesn't but you should never trust the judgment of someone who doesn't consider a trapeze essential to a good sex life.

Pottery teacher, father, Aikido student, spouse, Buddhist priest in training, chemist, meditation instructor, karate student, cook, woodworker, metalworker, jewelry maker, atheist, Aikido instructor, polyamorous, and bisexual - all are non-work related adjectives which are or have applied.

Important influences in my upbring - reading "The Sensual Dirty Old Man", by Dr. A

What I’m doing with my life

I work as a software analyst, enjoy martial arts, pottery (throwing), meditation (Zen Buddhism), cooking, woodworking, I run a Zen center and occasionally teach Aikido. I have interests in Polyamory and GLBT. Politically I'm a libertarian, though I'm not that political.

What am I doing with my life? Interesting question. Hard to pin down exactly. Aikido and Zen are a large part of my life, outside home. My wife and I have a good relationship and have managed to get much closer in the last few years. I was in a triad with a boyfriend and girlfriend up until about a couple years ago.

I’m really good at

Pottery, martial arts, meditation. Cooking, teaching.

I taught pottery for over 10 years. I've practiced Aikido since '95, taught at a school I helped run for about half a year. I run a small Zen Center (one without a building of it's own). I love to cook.

I seem to be pretty good at debating, probably from years of arguing with my sister when young.

The first things people usually notice about me

I've a friendly personality, good wit, and an easy going attitude. That or the glare off the top of my head. I can't always keep those straight, especially after an extended time in the sun without a hat.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: good science fiction - Enders Game, Speaker for the Dead, Most books by Ellison, Niven, Asimov, Orson Scott Card, Ursalu K LeGuin.

Movies: Long Kiss Goodnight, The Crying Game, Usual Suspects, Like Water for Chocolate, Repo Man, The Thomas Crowne Affair. Many others.

TV: House, Firefly, Torchwood, Lost, Grey's Anatomy, Dead Like Me, Dr. Who, others.

Music: Alternative, folk, hard rock, even a little metal and country. I appreciate some classical music, but usually don't listen to it for long periods of time.

Foods - that about says it. I like most all foods. You'd think I'd be fat with that attitude.

The six things I could never do without

Love, everything else is negotiable.

Though....

Affection.

Friends.

Sex is nice.

Food is always a plus.

Honesty.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Love, romance, sex, how things work, and creating.

On a typical Friday night I am

There are typical Fridays? I'd heard rumors some folks had them, but I just assumed that was an urban legend. I'm waiting for the episode on Mythbusters.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

That I enjoy intellectual challenges, like strange math problems. Interesting problems arising from real life.

I also know how to knit and like to make soap.

Never actually at the same time, though.

You should message me if

You are polyamorous or can accept I am married, and interested in a long-term, loving relationship.
