My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hello. Howdy. 'Sup? I'm Robert. I'm a very recently 30 year old mourning my 20's and preparing for my mid life crisis at 40. But before I decide what color motorcycle I buy (Neon orange?), I think I'm going to celebrate the 'now' a bit. I always made an excuse for not dating; you know, the usual. Working on school, working on a career, have to take the trash out tonight. You know, the same reason you're on this site. So, after thinking about it, I thought I should at least make an effort to meet people. So, because I am woefully unprepared to socialize in the real world, I thought I'd try the wonderful OKCupid first.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Currently, I work a 9 to 5 at a Credit Union as a loan officer(I wear a tie on some days and everything!), but my education and passion is audio engineering, mostly doing musical theater. So I do work in that when I can, and it makes a great hobby. In school I studied classical voice and classical guitar.

Like most rock stars waiting to be discovered, I play shows once in a while where I play uninspired covers of classic rock songs at clubs where only my friends show up to watch me play. But I never take it to seriously, and it's quite a bit of fun. Also, do the grammer and spelling error(s) in this part bother you? If they do, let me know. You get big brownie points if you catch them all.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Answering questions during an interview. Gardening. Smiling. Not getting lost on foot. Getting lost while driving. Asking stupid questions. Basic level geochemistry in relation to stable isotopes. Getting along with people.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Well, I'm not sure, but I can tell you what I want people to first notice about me! My smile, my aloof stance and my hard but welcoming eyes. I have a sense about me that says even though you don't know me, you feel you can trust me. But why is he covered in cat fur and mud? Did he just get attacked by a tiger?! Should I call a doctor?!?

Well, okay, maybe not. Maybe just notice my awesome beard.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I read a lot. Salinger, Fitzgerald, Lee, Vonnegut, Wells, Vidal, Tolstoy, Steinbeck, Hemingway, Orwell, so on... The one book everyone on Earth should read is To Kill A Mockingbird!

I love comedies. Chaplin, Marx Brothers, Mel Brooks, old Steve Martian. Some of my other favorites are Love Actually, High Fidelity, Shawn of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, Airplane!, The Jerk...

I'm really into weird music these days. Like, They Might be Giants, Beck, Modest Mouse, Cake, Presidents of the United States of America, XTC, and John Philips Sousa.

I like Asian food. Sushi is yummy. I really like spicy stuff. A good Tex-Mex place is hard to find, but when I do find one, I get fat. I like a good New York styled pizza, but I've been known to go to Chicago for a slice of pie or two. Or a real Chicago dog. Mmmm...
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Not completing lists.
2. The word "okay" (not to be confused with "ok").
3. Long drives with nothing to think about.
4. A Texas accent.
5. Concept albums.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Am I ever going to really grow up? Like, I just enjoy being silly, and never want to stop. I mean, I am responsible and all, but I'm never serious about it. I hope that's okay. Am I okay with it? I think I am.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Hanging out with friends wishing I had just stayed at home, or at home wishing I had gone out with friends. I'm like a cat that claws at the door to be let back in immediately after being let out.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I grew up on a farm. Like, a real farm, way out in the middle of Nowhere. My graduating class was about 20 people.
