My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I've recently grown gills in order to adapt to this new Texas enviroment. If you don't date half-fish half-man abominations of nature you might as well stop reading now. In fact, might as well move out of Texas. It's all webbed hands and feet from here on out.

Hi, I'm Robert!

I get along with just about anyone, and I find that I end up dating people I have nothing in common with just 'cause I'm so easy going. I don't notice there is a problem until too late. So now, I've vowed to myself that I want to meet someone I actively share traits with. So, I guess I'm looking for a nerd.

I ponder a lot. I like to wonder. I find that daydreaming is great. I enjoy thinking, scheming, planning, musing, contemplation, being reflective, and just plain being pensive if it is a Saturday and raining.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Currently, I work a 9 to 5 at a Credit Union, but my education and passion is audio engineering, mostly doing musical theater. So I do work in that when I can, and I'm looking for a full time position in it. In school I studied classical voice and classical guitar.

I also work for a production company that has worked on a least one major motion picture, but my NDA keeps me from saying what or who. :P

I'm very excited about all this, as you can probably tell. Music, movies and entertainment is my life. I'm considering opening my own studio, but I'm not sure yet. I get excited when thinking about what'd next.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Answering questions during an interview. Gardening. Smiling. Not getting lost on foot. Getting lost while driving. Asking stupid questions. Basic level geochemistry in relation to stable isotopes. Getting along with people.
The first things people usually notice about me

I smile a lot? Maybe people think, "Hey, he has on nice pants. I
wonder where he got those." Maybe the Men's Warehouse, but on some days I wear the pants I bought at Target. I guess people might notice that my nose is exactly where it should be; the middle of my face, but that would be a strange thing to notice, don't you think?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I read a lot. Salinger, Fitzgerald, Lee, Vonnegut, Wells, Vidal, Tolstoy, Steinbeck, Hemingway, Orwell, so on... The one book everyone on Earth should read is To Kill A Mockingbird!

I love comedies. Chaplin, Marx Brothers, Mel Brooks, old Steve Martian. Some of my other favorites are Love Actually, High Fidelity, Shawn of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, Airplane!, The Jerk...

As a person who loves music, I can't narrow it down to just one type. Good musical theater stuff, like the soundtrack to Cats is great, but I'm also a huge classic rock fan, like Collective Soul, Modest Mouse, and stuff. Jazz fusion always gets me, like Jazz is Dead, or Laika and the Cosmonauts. Classical guitar stuff is great also! Just about anything.

I love Asian food. If you haven't been to the New Big Wong in lower Greenville yet, let me know, and we'll go right now. I mean, RIGHT NOW. I'll see you there! The Tia Lotus in Turtle Creek is wonderful too. Recently I've learned of Zushi Sushi in Uptown. Best raw fish I've ever had.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Green tea.
2. The word "okay" (not to be confused with "ok").
3. Long drives with nothing to think about.
4. A Texas accent.
5. Concept albums.
6. Message me and I'll tell you what number 6 is.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Don't you think it's odd that we are blowing through the universe at I-don't-know-how-many miles an hour, spinning frantically, rocks being hurled around us, and I'm more worried about what I'll have for lunch today rather than the planet crashing into something, or gravity suddenly refusing to work?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Working, on sometimes playing a banjo with a fury and haste that might make one believe that all that is good rest on my ability to pick and grin.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I really like Modest Mouse. I know, I know, they 'sold out' and all, but I think their music is just great. I have no excuse, however, for my love of the Jackson Five.
