I'm Collin. I love music, especially indie artists. I like studying philosophy. I program for a living. I write often, mostly terrible poetry and really good essays on metaphysics. I love everything on Adult Swim. ATHF for the win! I only eat broccoli if it has cheese sauce on it. You only live once, so why not enjoy it in any way that makes you happy... so long as you don't hurt others.

That's the basics.

I'm originally from Hampton, Va. but now have moved to Fairfax. I attend school at George Mason University and am enrolled in their computer science program. I get along with most people I meet, really. I'm the type of personality who loves to stir the pot. I can't stand that there's so many cool ideas out there and no one to argue their point of view because they are afraid of confrontation. Sometimes you just gotta stand up for what you believe in. I like to grease the wheels, sort to speak. When things get dead at a party, I'm generally the one to start a political or religious conversation to spice things up. I mean, I can only take but so much listening about you go on and on about how cute your dog is to a group of people.

I LOVE to play Poker. Fun fun fun. Especially when I win, which I never do. I play video games like Final Fantasy, World of Warcraft, and Fable. I guess I'm into the fantasy genre. If that makes me a nerd, so be it, I just adore that stuff. I'm not a democrat, but I can't stand George Bush.

I guess I'm looking for someone who can be a little direction in my life. Really, I have the kind of mind that has lots of ideas and no method for carrying them out. Perhaps if I had someone, other than myself, to live for, we could complete both of our goals.

Oh yeah, and I'd prefer if she has brown or black hair. Yum, Brunettes. Everyone is entitled to at least one shallow thing, right?

Well I currently work full-time busting on bad-guys who try and scam people. You know those ads that go, "Text BABE to #####" that you see on late night television? Ever take a quiz and they ask you to enter your cell phone number? Guess what... I make sure they're not going to completely fuck you over. I'm a software developer, and I built the system which does that. Yup yup...yeah, not that interesting, but eh, I gotta pump myself up in the morning somehow, right?

I also am finishing up my last semester at George Mason University.

Lot's of weird stuff... I play guitar well. I make pretty interesting music. I am a fun public speaker. I... enjoy psychology, but that's probably because both of my parents are in the field. I LOVE PHILOSOPHY!!! (Ayn Rand is not philosophy... if you think she is, keep moving please, thank you.)

I'm really good at abusing the ellipsis as well.

Hopefully my dashing good looks and casual sense of style... but more than likely they notice my inability to censor my mouth.

Books: Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Series
Movies: Ehhh most things on IFC. I like quirky think-pieces. To be quite honest, though, it's hard to get me to actually watch a movie these days. Here's what facebook says: Gummo, Julien Donkey Boy, Amelie Poulan, Sideways, Waking Life, Y Tu Mama Tambien, Army of Darkness... I haven't updated that list in years, though.
Music: Holy crap... I LOVE ALMOST ALL MUSIC. I like... gosh, Irish Punk like Floggin Molly, Dropkick Murphy's, Mischief Brew, etc... David Bowie is probably the only man I'd let have his way with me. I like the Paper Tongues, Spinnerette, Carolina Liar, Kings of Leon, Blind Melon, Malice Mizer, The Cure, Bad Religion, Pennywise, Radiohead, Coldplay, Foo Fighters, Mindless Self Indulgence, Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, Q and not U, The Dismemberment Plan, PINK FLOYD, In Flames, NaDa Surf, Elliot Smith, Heatmiser, Pantera, Sublime, Led Zeppelin, Aesop Rock, Sage Francis, Zeromancer, Hot Hot Heat, Ramstein, Yngwie Malmstein, Muse, Steve Vai, Steve Stevens, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Floggin Molly, Dropkick Murphy's, Van Halen, Apex Theory, Kidney Theives, Smashing Pumpkins, Pixies, The Flaming Lips, The Flys, Dandy Warhols, Bauhaus, Mogwai, Placebo, Kent, Team Sleep, Modest Mouse, David Bowie, fuck man. Food = DELCIOUS. I ain't picky.

Computer. Music. My friends.

It said six, but I'm pretty happy so long as I have those three things. I'd like to add a significant other to the list, but eh, in time.

Philosophy. I really have been stuck in an existential crisis since I was a little child. I don't know what it is, but I always have had to convince myself that "reality is." I guess it's strange. Hey, at least it's not to the point of mental illness.

One of three things:

1) Hanging out with friends, either at home or possibly a pub.
2) Making messes.
3) Making music.

I'm not sure there's anything I wouldn't be willing to admit here.
