Books: I like dorky fantasy books and classic literature. And field
guides. Jeeves and Wooster. OKC thinks I'm more literary than most
women my age. I think I've just answered more questions about books
than most women my age.
Movies: I'm gonna come out and say it: I'm not super into movies.
They always seem to be aimed at the broadest possible audience and
never really say or do anything interesting. However, I'm open to
recommendations if you think you can change my mind. I suppose if I
had to pick a favorite though, I'd say The Princess Bride, or
pretty much anything with Christopher Guest. Also, Pixar
Shows: Seinfeld, Arrested Development (although not a huge fan of
the new season), Flight of the Conchords, Parks and Rec, Summer
Heights High, Trailer Park Boys, Peep Show, The Office (but only
before Michael left), Downton Abbey, Battlestar Galactica
Anime (yes I watch anime): Haibane Renmei, Mononoke (not to be
confused with Princess Mononoke, which I also like), Maison Ikkoku,
currently making my way through Texhnolyze
Music: The Decemberists, Belle and Sebastian, Goldfrapp, Radiohead,
Led Zeppelin, Sufjan Stevens, Neutral Milk Hotel. Always looking
for new recommendations. I used to be a music major, so I can talk
somewhat intelligently about classical music.
Podcasts: This American Life, 99% Invisible, Radiolab
Food: I'm a pretty adventurous eater considering I'm a vegan.
Cliche favorite cuisine: Thai food. I have a raunchy love affair
with Chipotle. I'm not the best cook, so if you're good at that
sort of thing I will probably love you forever. I also really wish
I was a wine and beer nerd, but I haven't really gotten there yet.
Hard alcohol of choice: gin, although I've been getting into
whiskey more recently
