My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.

Bay Area born and raised. Graduated with a degree in anthropology, which I've somehow managed to transfigure into a job as a social worker that assists the homeless of the TL. Sometimes this means I'm the occasional personal shopper for the homeless, sometimes this means I'm a sympathetic ear, sometimes this means I'm outwitting crackheads. Every day is something new and I have lots of stories that aren't necessarily appropriate for polite conversation.

To be real, I only go on about it because the practices of compassion, empathy, brashness, directness, and kindness required to do that work defines me pretty well.

But you can be the judge of that, if you like

I also sing, play piano, and write
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Writing, providing social services to the homeless, keeping an open ear to others' subjective experiences, playing piano, singing (either in the shower or in front of some audience), going to the gym, prob going to a seedy bar for a drag show
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Avoiding the usage of the first person.

Going to the gym regularly.

Being direct and practical.

Finding silver linings

Coming up with ridiculous and humorous, but very dark and irreverent pick up lines
The first things people usually notice about me

That I'm looking at them?

My hair. My clothes. Exterior things.

In any case, strangers seem to really frequently ask me for help so I guess I seem helpful? (Which I don't mind)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Good shoes
Peanut Butter
Family (Chosen & Blood, that counts as one?)
My bed
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The next place I'd like to visit/live/work, distance, the concept of a "missed connection," the concept of "home" (and what I'd like my own home to look like one day), poverty (and that sweet couple who told me they were going to walk to LA from SF - if they made it), representations in media, subjective truths, my family (and my nephew, who rocks but is surrounded by mostly adults)

Why OKC thinks I'm extroverted

How long has this been in the fridge

What does this menu mean when they say "mixed vegetables," I would never just put down "white meat cuts" under a menu item

How long has this been in the cupboard

On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Externally, probably drinking
Internally, probably judging
Alternatively, preparing to sleep in, hanging out with Netflix, or practicing piano.
Hopefully, breathing

So it could literally be anything!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That I'm really bad at discerning what precisely qualifies as "private."
