You know those overly enthusiastic people who insist that the world can be made a better place as they run forward into the future as fast as they can full of bright eyed optimism and a belief that things are going to turn out for the best?

Hi! I'm one of them.

I believe in relentless self improvement and lazy summer days.

The latter is self explanatory (home made lemonade and a good park), and the first bit can be summarized as such: I have a great career, a strong focus on health and physical fitness, and plans for what I want in the future.

Learning and understanding about the world around me.

Cooking all sorts of food, I happen to specialize in twice baked potatoes.

Being bad at strategy board games, but playing anyway.

Finding that one perfect gift.

I have a lazy eye, it frequently points somewhat askew.

I read lots and lots of fiction, Charles Stross and Greg Bear are current favorites, and of course Discworld is always a delight. I have a large book collection and reading is most certainly one of my passions.

To give an idea of my movie viewing habits: Rocky Horror Picture Show, Death To Smoochie, Moulin Rouge, and anything by Tim Burton.

Musical tastes are also quite varied. A small sampling: Leaves' Eyes, Crystal Castles, Within Temptation, Epica, Nightwish, The Field, Katie Melua, Klaypex, Sigur Ros, and finally, the sound track from FLCL.

As for what I eat, almost anything! I am actually very careful about my diet, but I will try any food once (and that goes quite far... sometimes to my dismay!)

Where I am going next in life and how to best get there.

If not that, then plotting how I could take over the world. Most scenarios end up involving way too much effort.

I am a fan of quiet nights in and talking with friends, but I am not completely adverse to new experiences (and indeed as with food, I will try any activity once!)

All that said, I can usually be found doing one of the following on a Friday night:

• Cooking up awesome meals with friends
• Out with friends at a local music event
• Possibly at home reading if I recently visited a book store
• Meeting up with people to play board games (Catan, Dominion, etc)

My ideal Saturday is spent laying down in a field of grass, under the shade of a tree, curled up with someone I love, as the sun slowly passes by overhead.

You want to meet someone with a lot of passion and dedication for whatever he sets his mind on.

You have goals and dreams in life and are looking for someone to achieve them with.
