My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Idealistic. Romantic. Ambitious. Compassionate. Real.
Full of contradictions. I am contemplative, but can't sit still. Adventurous but cautious, talkative but shy.
A few adorations of mine: cooking - love farmer's markets and using delicious fresh ingredients, wine - not just drinking it, but also wine theory, Giants baseball, NPR, pop culture, playing guitar, reading, yoga, hiking, traveling...
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a sommelier. Not a wine snob, just a certified cork dork.
That means I taste a lot of wines and I study all the time. Wine books stacked all over my house. Flashcards everywhere.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I like to read. A lot. When I want to laugh, I read David Sedaris. I also really like Chuck Klosterman. Bill Bryson is pretty fantastic too. And of course I love all my foodie authors; Anthony Bourdain, Michael Ruhlman, Jeffrey Steingarten, and Ruth Reichl. Books I want to read, but are still in my wishlist: Infinite Jest and World War Z. Mostly though I am reading wine books.

As far as movies go, I could watch Garden State again and again. SOMM is the best/most inspiring wine documentary ever. I will watch John Hughes/Brat Pack movies over and over(especially Ferris Bueller's Day Off.). Clueless is a movie I can quote word for word. When I watch Amelie I want to eat creme brulee. Seth Rogan, Judd Apatow, Adam Sandler, and the rest of that crew make me laugh. So does Will Ferrell. I've also perfected my blue steel look thanks to Zoolander. Other favorites are Mona Lisa Smile, Casablanca, The Wizard of Oz, Good Will Hunting, The Princess Bride, Moulin Rouge, and The Little Mermaid.

I admit that I watch too much TV. I am a bit of a Simpsons nerd. I watch Glee. I love love love The Big Bang Theory.

If I'm not making my own music I can be found listening to Barenaked Ladies, Ben Folds, Guster, Dave Matthews Band, Jason Mraz, Indigo Girls, Regina Spektor, Meiko, Kate Nash, Ingrid Michaelson, Adele, and Joss Stone.

I love to cook and spend time in the kitchen. I love the magic that happens when you pair the right wine with the right food. I go Farmer's Market-ing weekly and love cooking seasonally.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1.) Corkscrew. I never leave home without it.

2.) Wine. Drinking it, studying it. What's not to love?

3.) My passport. I can't wait to use it again.

4.) Sleep. I am so busy and wish I had more time to sleep.

5.) My cell phone. I feel lost without my phone.

6.) Love. I love being loved, and I love loving. Really, nothing makes me happier <3
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How to be the best person I can be.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I always light Shabbat candles. If I'm not at work and the Giants are at home then I will probably be at AT&T (orange Friday!) I might be out with friends, or I could be at home doing laundry and watching Netflix.
