I am a bit of a nerd. I am good at using computers but I don't build them or know how to repair them. I get excited about nerdy things all the time, but that hardly begins to describe me. In addition to being a nerd I am very competitive and naturally athletic. So if you ever play any sport against me, don't be surprised when I don't go easy on you. Nothing personal, I am just competitive like that. I have played one sport or another my whole life so I tend to stay pretty active. However, I am not on the go constantly. I do enjoy my down time spent reading, watching television or a movie (or two), and napping. I'd like to say I am the perfect blend of nerd and macho, but that would just be a lie. And how would that be a good start to things? I'm close though.

I like to drink when being social, especially when I am meeting with fun and/or interesting people, but I almost never drink to get drunk. I get very talkative when I've had a drink or two, which may or may not annoy you. I am smart but not a genius. I can learn anything I put my mind to very quickly, but don't expect me to solve the worlds problems. I am funny and hilarious at random moments. I think I am more clever than I am despite knowing the truth, and I cannot tell a story to save my life. Seriously. It is painful.

I just finished grad school so I am trying to find things to fill up my newly found free time. Working. Making travel plans and kicking it old school. Ignore that last bit. I'm not sure what that means.

Procrastinating. I've got that whole walking thing mastered. Spelling. Being unable to answer these questions seriously. Cooking. Reading. Uhhh...PowerPoint?

When I have a beard, people probably notice how red my beard is.

When I don't have a beard, how much I look like American Idol runner-up Blake Lewis sans pho-hawk and beat boxing skills.

Movies: Bill Murray, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, Sword of Doom, Bob le Flambeur, Manhattan, 40-Year-Old Virgin, Anchorman, The Big Lebowski, Charade, Darjeeling Limited, Fantastic Mr. Fox, Ip Man, Zombieland, Wayne's World, and so many more.

Shows: White Collar, Grimm, The Mentalist, Community, Archer, The Walking Dead, New Girl, House, Big Bang Theory, Castle, The Finder (I can't believe it was cancelled...), Modern Family, South Park, Game of Thrones, Bones, Dexter, Falling Skies, Futurama, Homeland, Luther (John Luther might be the ultimate bad ass), Sherlock, Terra Nova (I can sort of understand why this was cancelled, but I don't like it), True Blood (anyone else think this show is getting too weird?), Warehouse 13, The Newsroom.

Music: The Black Keys, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Creedence Clearwater Revival, David Bowie, Elton John, Gorillaz, Led Zeppelin, Michael Jackson, Neutral Milk Hotel, The Lumineers, Jack White, Alabama Shakes, Piebald, Queen, Tom Waits. I'm not picky. I like most music, but I don't like everything.

Food: I love food.
