My self-summary Propose an edit

I enjoy summer nights, winter days, autumn evenings and spring mornings. Each has their own particular allure, while (for the most part) none could be said to be extreme. I am a technophile, though I see the vaule in "getting away from it all" now and again with a camping trip. My mind tends to be occupied in the future, hence my almost exclusive diet of Sci-Fi reading. (if you agree with me Xena has no place next to Star Trek in a bookstore, you're ahead of the game) I'm hoping to meet a woman who's more grounded than I, but on the artistic side as well. I'll readily admit I swoon a bit when I hear the mellow sounds of a cello, or if I am the solo audience to a vocal song. I appreciate modern art more than the classical.

What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit

Trying to refresh my life. Shake things up, try new things. I recently purchased a new car, I'm looking for a new job, and I'd like to find a new aspect of social life.

I'm really good at Propose an edit

Computers and gaming, mostly. I'd like to think I'm developing a knack to be decent at a few other things as well. I've done some carpentry, elelctrial wiring, electronics assembly, plumbing, and tiling. For similar reasons, I'm decent at holding my own in conversation.

I've been told my eyes. Blue tends to be flattering. :)

My favorite books, movies, music, and food Propose an edit

Books: I haven't read a bad Sci-Fi novel/short story/collection yet. I prefer the greats (Asimov, Clarke, Sagan) but I'm not exclusive. I have a habit of rereading books at least 5 times over (not consecutively) before I consider trading them in for another.
Movies: I thoroughly enjoyed the Matrix series for entertainment, and, well, most of my preferences there still run with Sci-Fi. LotR was epic, but my DVD collection is made of things like Brain Candy, Harvey Birdman, Venture Brothers, Dilbert, etc.
Music: My primary favorite is They Might Be Giants, and I don't care for rap, country, or religious music. There's very little before 1980 I listen to.
Food: Variety is the spice of life! I've grown to appreciate many backgrounds and styles of food. Personally, I don't need food to be fancy in order to enjoy it. A nice filet mignon with the right rub is always a good base for a meal.

I rigged some computer speakers internal to and my Ipod external from my bathroom, so I can sing along with my favorites, without moisture damaging the electronics. :D
