My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I hit stuff.

25 yo Phd student, drummer, full-time blabbermouth and energizer bunny. Other than that project-that-shall-not-be-mentioned, my life consists mostly of playing drums and listening to music (jazz, funk, ska, metal, weird blues stuff, garage rock, psychedelic hardrock and reggae, but basically everything other than techno and schlager - yes, also classical). When I'm not teaching or playing, I spend my time cooking Italian and Indian food. I love weird, quirky, unique and opinionated people and heated discussions (yes, that means you! *uncle Sam gesture*). I take my time for people. Yes, that means you as well! If you're interesting enough, of course ;)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Gee, what would the life of a full-time Phd candidate look like?
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Talking. I do it a lot.

Hitting stuff.
The first things people usually notice about me

Music: ¡Que Viva Mingus! Also Miles Davis, James Brown, George Clinton, Frank Zappa, The Mars Volta, Kaizers Orchestra, Otis Redding, Bill Withers, Donny Hathaway, Bob Marley, Groundation, Arctic Monkeys, Led Zeppelin, Amon Tobin, Jack White, Eels, The Black Keys, John Zorn, Devin Townsend, Tom Waits and basically everything in between. Some more Tom Waits. Did I mention Zappa? Oh, and fuck yeah Clutch.

Books: lots of non-fiction, everything related to history, philosophy and political sciences, but I enjoy the odd novel as well. I'm trying to simultaneously read Piketty's Capital in the 21st Century and Mendelssohn On The Roof.

TV: everything Tarantino and everything Coen Brothers. HBO series ranging from Game of Thrones to Boardwalk Empire and The Borgias are awesome, as is Breaking Bad, and I think True Detective might be my alltime favorite. Documentaries from Louis Theroux to David Attenborough. I've sort of joined the hordes of Netflix addicts, I guess.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
- My drum kit
- My book shelf (with books, duh)
- My creuset pan
- An ipod, iphone, mp3 player or otherwise portable music device
- Coffee

And yes, of course, also my friends and fellow musicians.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Life, the universe and everything? Really, what's sort of question is this...
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out jamming, watching Hannibal or hanging out at Café Ledig Erf
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
This is OK Cupid. The most private stuff I'd like to admit is already above - but feel free to ask. I'll probably reply. And I don't bite. Unless you're a cookie, then I will.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You've got something sensible to say. About music. Or about books. Or anything that keeps you going.

Also, if you're a misogynist, homophobe, racist or otherwise bigoted ass, don't bother messaging me. It'd be a waste of good bytes.
