I am pessimistic, yet hopefull, and iconoclastic.

My Self-Summary

i am a social caterpillar. fairly introverted around people until i get to know them better and then i come out of my pupa. i like reciprocity in my relationships. i make noises and sounds. i like living in an area where i can walk most places i want to go. light hearted dark humor is the best! avocados are tasty.

What I’m doing with my life

I've got a job doing supported living for people with disabilities, which I'm enjoying for the most part. I've traveled a bit in Europe and India. I make noise and am starting a modest little noise label. Circuit bending toys and what not in spurts when I have time.

I’m really good at

overstating things, reflecting on things and becoming more empathetic because of it, thinking for myself outside of dogma ("hey, let's all non-conform in the same direction!" no, not for me. thanks.) cooking when i'm not lazy. eating ridiculously gross foods when i have the chance (see: luther burger, slayer burger ala Kumas, slingers, etc.)

The first things people usually notice about me

my mannerisms, that I'm quiet and shy (though they usually change their mind after a while).

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: pretty much everything I've read from the following authors: Neil Gaiman, Charles Bukowski, Kurt Vonnegut, HP Lovecraft, Irvine Welsh, ; books.... Neverwhere, The Moral Animal, Portraits by Steve McCurry, Nation of Rebels, and I'll think of others laters.....

Movies: Happiness. yummy, cheesy, frightening horror types, documentaries, 70's exploitation classics, all films by: Todd Solondz, Charlie Kaufman, Stanley Kubrick, Jorg Buttgereit, H.G. Lewis. and don't forget the dinner game, pink flamingos, milo and ottis.....

Music:
So... I've noticed a lot of people on their profiles saying "i like just about everything" or some other general dumbass schlock about what kind of music they like. to these people i challenge you to download any one merzbow (tauromachine is a good place to start) album and THEN tell me if you you like just about everything or if you change your mind.

my generalize list: no wave, early industrial, noise, rock and/or roll, kitchy contemporary country, folk, neo-folk, old punk, indy, classical. specifics: velvet underground, death in june, black leather jesus, merzbow, misfits, pj harvey, arab on radar, tori amos, leadbelly, godspeed you! black emporor, patrick wolf, the conformists and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on

The six things I could never do without

solitude. tea. close friends. a sense of stability. something to create. energy (as when you really get down to it, everything is energy. maybe i should have put that first...)

I spend a lot of time thinking about

everything i could have done much better and plotting what i will do better. grandiose conspiracy theories. what to do next.

On a typical Friday night I am

oot and aboot.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

sometimes i like to sing along to songs in a terrible tone deaf, a-harmonic muppet monster voice.

You should message me if

if you want to talk about anything of interest.
