For years I was a New York girl with a place in Montana.
Or was I a Montana gal with a place in New York?
A year ago I had to choose, and well,
Montana I love you - but give me Park Avenue….
And Lenox Avenue.
And Avenue C.
I'd like to meet a great man with enough in common with me and enough different to make things challenging.
It is important to have certain fundamental things in common.
Like how you view the world, what you want out of life, not being a morning person, loving obscure old black-and-white movies that no one else has ever heard of, and having a sense of humor - or at least being able to appreciate one (mine?).
I like knowing people whom I can learn from, who surprise me and inspire me.
Who are as interested in my ideas as I am in theirs.
But enough about you.
I love road trips and long books, cooking dinners on cold nights
with people I love, flamenco, interesting found objects, and smart interesting people.
I have always been drawn to excitement, glamour, and calculated risk.
Which may be one of the reasons that I'm doing this.
I have three basic requirements:
1. Someone I like as a friend.
2. Someone I respect as an equal.
3. Someone to whom I am wildly attracted.
Preferably all in the same person.
Beyond that, I'm not entirely sure, and am of course, open to
Men who are comfortable in their own skin are very attractive to me.
Intelligence, sanity, communication, and liberal politics are
at the top of my list - not that I have a list, of course.
God knows a sense of the absurd would certainly come in
Last but not least,
A man who knows who he is, knows how to be happy, and enjoys me immensely.
