Just looking for new friends... not sure what to expect yet. My divorce was final a little over a year ago so I don't plan to hop into a relationship, although that doesn't mean that I'm looking for a fling. If you're looking for a hookup, then keep on passing through, because that's not my style. Hopefully there is a man out there who is willing to be honest and a gentleman, kind and sincere. If I find someone with whom there's a spark, then great, if I only make a few new friends, then that's fine too.

My closest friends describe me as caring, empathetic and smart. I can be the life of the party or just kick back and relax with a book so I'm a comfortable person to be around, and I'm comfortable in most situations. I am the book club, close friends' best support type, the little black dress out to dinner and champagne type, the crafty sewing an outfit for my kids or arranging flowers from the garden type, and I'm also the put on some heels and a short skirt let's go dancing at a club type... guess that's why I'd say the best way to describe me is multi-faceted. I don't fit easily into one slot. I can be quiet and serene, or fun and gregarious. I think chemistry is something you feel immediately. It's the charge in the atmosphere when you lock eyes... the way your pulse quickens when your fingers touch the first time. I've been the type who has been known to fall too easily though, so I am trying to be careful and not let that chemistry take over! I've wasted too much of my life being led by just the chemistry - I'm ready to use my head AND watch for chemistry. I'm hoping to find someone who gives me butterflies in my tummy and also is someone who fulfills that part of me that wants to go slow and not get too involved too quickly.

Pretty busy between kids and work and lots of friends that I spend time with. My job is great and I learn something new every day which I love 'cause it keeps my mind busy.

I'm ready to shine again, so I'm happy to find some time for a new friend and possibly a new special someone. :)

Being friendly and easy to talk to. I'm sure there's about a gazillion other things too, I'll write more on those later.

Most people notice my smile immediately, in fact, I've been told my best feature is my smile... and I'm rarely seen without one. No matter how hard my day has been I try to hold my head high and smile at people.

I love the Stephanie Plum Novels by Janet Evanovich, but you'll also probably catch me reading whatever is on the local book club list. I read all the Chronicles of Narnia books and am reading the Hobbit right now to my youngest son at night before I tuck him in at night, which has been fun. We started reading the Narnia books before the Narnia movie was released, because I wanted him to know how the story really went in case the movie didn't do it justice. (as so often happens)

I'm a movie goer, from checking out an independent film, to snuggling on the sofa watching old classics like My Fair Lady, to going to see the latest comedy at a drive in. The only kind of movies I'm not particularly fond of would be the blood and gore type scare your pants off type. Not really my cup of tea.

I think it's fun to try new foods, and I'm not a picky eater at all. If I find something I don't like, at least I've tried it to know for future reference! Love going out for Sushi, or a great roasted garlic & mushroom pizza, some delicious shrimp scampi or just a great burger.

Six? Well, I could probably do without just about anything but the love and support of my good friends and family. I like having a roof over my head and nice clean sheets, so maybe those too. As for things I enjoy having around that I'd miss if I didn't have: A good book to read, music to listen to, a vehicle to get to work in, and my cell phone are pretty handy to have around! (Did that count as 7? I could live without the cell phone for sure.)

The next "right thing" to do. Sometimes it's the dishes.

Depends. Might be sitting on the sofa watching a movie after I get the kids in bed. Could also be out with a friend listening to live music and dancing the night away, or heading out to the drive-in with the kids or a bunch of girlfriends.

Message me if you're multi-faceted just like me... someone with direction in your life and a career you enjoy but not so wrapped up in being driven with work to work in some fun. If you're someone equally at ease reading a book on a lazy summer day as you are dancing the night away, perusing the shelves at half price books as you are trying out a dish you've never had at a new restaurant. In other words, if you are quirky, fun, smart and adaptable like me.

I hope to find someone who can communicate and isn't afraid to do so... if you're the type who usually holds back their feelings, we may not click. I think that the best basis for a relationship is good and open communication whether it's with a friend or a romantic partner. So, c'mon! What ya waitin' for?? Communicate with me! I figure if I meet some new friends from this then I'll be better off than I was when I started.
