This is so hard to do. No matter what I write you have read it
before. Nevertheless, I am a very young 60 year old woman who has
raised two incredibly amazing young men. I have a vocation that
gets me high everyday. I am an English Teacher at a local school
and I love being with teenagers everyday. I love myself, my
children, books, music and swimming in the ocean. I am very bright.
I have lots of common sense and I am street smart. I am well read
and a curious, deep thinker. Now do you think you know me? I care
more about how a man looks at me than how a man looks.
I am witty, intelligent, and fun
What I’m doing with my life
I am doing my best to be kind, loving and compassionate with
everyone who comes my way. A line of poetry from Joy Harjo has
always stuck with me. She wrote: We must take the utmost care and
kindness in all things." Working everyday with teenagers gives me
the opportunity to practice and sometimes even perfect this
Besides teaching English Literature, I am the Drama Club advisor at
my high school and producer all of our plays and musicals. I
co-direct as well. I truly love watching the evolution of the
written word and song transformed into something so alive,
beautiful and moving.
I’m really good at
Listening, laughing, loving, body surfing and being a true friend.
The first things people usually notice about me
My energy. I am electric.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
"A Thousand Splendid Suns" "Snowflower and the Secret Fan" I could
list about a thousand books since I read 1-2 per week. I love U-2,
Pearl Jam, the Beatles, Johnny Cash and about a million other
artists. I loved "Slumdog Millionaire" "Soul Power and lots of
other movies are on the list. Food! I love to eat. Thankfully, I
can eat whatever I want, whenever I want and how much I want and
still weigh 125 pounds and on a 5'4" frame, that's pretty good. I
love desserts. They are what make me so sweet.
The six things I could never do without
I spend a lot of time thinking about
....how not to think so much....
On a typical Friday night I am
On the couch reading a book.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
My couch is taking on by body's imprint!
You should message me if
If you want to be in the presence of someone very special. Who will
respect who you are and give you what you need--always.
