My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
We are all a little weird and life's a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness, and call it love.

I'm up for almost anything as long as the company is good. My favorite outdoor activity is and always will be swimming. I grew up on the beach, and still miss the smell of the air down on the shore. I get back to the ocean as often as possible. Watching a movie on an off night, when the theater isn't packed is one of lifes simple pleasures.

I've become a huge Flyers fan over the last few years. Hockey is the only sport I truly follow all year long. Its the only thing that's ever made me yell at my tv.

I love getting in the car with someone and driving, even if we have no place to go, maybe even especially if we have no destination. Getting lost in museums and aquariums, at least the natural history or science center types. The fossil rooms at the Natural History Museum is still one of my favorite places on this planet.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Searching for a house that I love. Tired of renting and it's time to make the move to a space I can truly call my own. .

I'm a locomotive engineer for NJ Transit, I'm the guy hauling the commuters in to New York everyday.

Always making sure my core group of friends still finds the time to get together at least once a week.

Dealing with a very real need to go Zorbing and Skydiving. Bungee Jumping is not in the cards though, a broken piece of rubber isn't taking me out.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Acting like a goofball and making sure my inner child never dies, while at the same time being a responsible adult male that contributes to society ... It's a fine line but I walk it ;-)

I'm good at making friends and family laugh. I'm good at defending my opinion intelligently and listening to the other side of the coin with an open mind. Keeping the conversation going.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Probably that my beard is a different color then my hair. That always seems to get comments.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

MUSIC: I have a fairly eclectic taste in music. There is definitely a special place in my heart for any music that has a fiddle in it (read most Irish Punk). Dropkick Murphy, Flogging Molly, Shilelegh Law. I just really enjoy hearing the modern spin on songs and thoughts that have been around for so long. I also love Coheed and Cambria, Puddle of Mudd, Electric 6, Blink 182, Disturbed, Rev Theory, Sick Puppies. Just some great bands.

BOOKS: I love most scifi and fantasy. The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher is a fantastic series. The character is compelling and full of human foils. All set against a modern fantasy background. A Song of Ice and Fire by George R Martin. Again such relate able and human characters set in an extraordinary setting. The Emberverse Series by S.M Sterling. A great apocalyptic tale of people trying to survive a interesting set of circumstances. Also kinda plays into my other hobbies.

MOVIES: Braveheart, A Knights Tale, 50 First Dates, American Beauty. I'm a pretty big movie buff. Cuddling up with some good company and watching a movie, is a favorite activity :)

SHOWS: True Blood, House, Being Human, Raising Hope, Cougar Town, and Game of Thrones. I really dislike most reality tv programming.

FOOD: I'm a sucker for all Italian food and sushi. Recently found that I really like Thai food. Hard Cider over beer.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Netflix - Held out as long as I could, now I wouldn't know what to do without it. Ive become completely spoiled by watching 6 seasons of a show that I decide I like in a month, completely commercial free.

Internet - I could live without it ... but I would miss google an awful lot.

Weekly game night with my friends.

A Book - Whatever book I happen to be reading at the moment. What better way to fill the down time?

Breaking Routine at least once a week.

My car - the people I enjoy seeing on a weekly basis are spread all over the place.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Whats next, as in what does tomorrow bring. How am I going to get to all the places I want to visit. If Ill ever get enough guts to go skydiving like I want to.

If Reddit will allow me to get any sleep tonight.

Whether this this link (SFW) is the coolest or the most fucked up thing Ive ever seen :) probably both.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
At Applebee's with six or seven friends. Followed by a Saturday morning spent at work convincing myself that the next time Ill actually get some sleep.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I can be a bit of a wuss about spiders ....... and bees (also known as bumble owws) :-p but have gotten quite good at hunting them down when I see one in my bedroom.

If you find joy in the little things.

If you have an opinion on the which house is best in Game of Thrones ... and aren't going to hold the fact that I like the Lannisters against me.

If you know your way around a d20.

and especially if you're a great, funny, nerdy lady.
