I am eloquent, goofy, and wrapped in a blanket.

My Self-Summary

I should update this whole page. Feels inadequate.

I am the embodiment of chaos. I am your nightmare and your dream. I am the swirling nexus of power at the center of everything. I am a warrior. I am the cosmos.

I am a nerd, and I am a writer, and I love art and emotion. I am also very forgiving, and I do not hold a grudge even for a second.

Playing video games is my main form of entertainment, next reading, and unfortunately I spend too much time on the internet. However if anyone gets me started on a discussion of a belief, belief system, or opinion of any kind well... let's say I drop everything for hours. I'm also exercising recently, formulating a diet and exercise plan for bettar fitnass rawr!

I am in love with the water - it is positively stressful for me to date someone with a phobia of swimming.

The one topic of conversation I can maintain endlessly is that of abstract philosophical discourse.

~~
Alright, here we go, I'm gonna go ahead and get this out on the table. Beliefs are pretty important to me. "Agnosticism and very serious about it" isn't a joke, and it's not a cop-out. I have invested more hours into figuring out what I think of the universe than I have in any other single activity.
~~

Note: I am polyamorous, and what I am looking for is someone who is okay with that - I'd actually prefer if they were as well so it would get less demanding.

What I’m doing with my life

--I am studying under a Business major with an eventual emphasis on marketing. I want to enter the field of marketing, probably as a researcher, because I have a head for and fascination of sociology and economics, and marketing is an applied form of both.

--At the moment I am researching and working on a more healthy lifestyle - refining my dietary plan and establishing a non-invasive workout routine that will keep me functionally fit and sexayyy.

--I am a writer, and I want to create works of unparalleled beauty, to refine my grasp of the art infinitely. I currently write semi-traditional fantasy fiction, because my mind is filled with worlds and concepts best realized in the serene grasses and harsh sandstorms, the raucous dins of a more primitive setting.
-----Further, I wish to branch out. I have a keyboard that needs repair, and I'm working on a comic every once in a while. I want to learn to compose, and to draw, and so many other things...

--And finally I want to learn to cook, and open a restaurant someday with my friend and his own dream of a small goat farm. I think food is one of the highest forms of art, alongside music in its emotive and instinctive power and ability to please.

I’m really good at

I am very perceptive, and I can take a concept - any concept, be it an emotion or a relationship or an argument - and break it down into its constituent parts. To discuss this, to debate this, is my most-honed skill. Logic, my most powerful tool.

I have a strong head for sociology and economics, and I want to learn to cook.

Making pillow forts to snuggle in.

The first things people usually notice about me

After testing my non-bearded look I can safely say that, even when my chin has naught a hair upon it, I still look like I have a beard. It's just something in my genetics, about my chin structure. Very odd, but awesome. Beard illusion.

My god, probably my high forehead or my crazy hair, now that I think about it. The former I despise, the latter I love.

Of course, I also wear ironic or humorous t-shirts. So maybe those.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: Terry Pratchett, Haruki Murakami, Laurell K. Hamilton, Terry Goodkind (I openly admit that he's terrible), Terry Brooks, George R. R. Martin

Movies: Braveheart, Disney movies, 90's cartoon movies

Music: Nightwish (old and new), Mandragora Scream, Dimmu Borgir, Kamelot, Epica, Tarot, Charon, Northern Kings, Sonata Arctica, Sirenia, Björk, Gnarls Barkley, Korpiklaani, Alestorm, Sirenia, After Forever, Celesty
-An indie band called Pomplamoose, as well. God they are awesome.
Of the above, my top two are Mandragora Scream and Nightwish.

Food: Sashimi, Steak, Burgers, Potatoes, Fruit (wuv), fine cuisine and expensive dishes, as well as experimental food and homemade alcohols

Other media: Batman: TAS, Batman Beyond, The Venture Brothers, Homestarrunner/Sbemails, 90's cartoon network (including 90's adult swim and Space Ghost Coast To Coast) ; Metroid games, Zelda games (holy shit Majora's Mask), SRPGs, DS RPGs (<3 Atlus), Older Square-Enix games, SSB series, Dokapon, Lost Kingdoms, Ogre Battle series, Alien Syndrome, and I used to play Age of Conan. Maybe I'll get back into it if prompted enough.

(there, little Robot. I have more interests in my profile now. Are you happy?)

The six things I could never do without

My talent, the senses I require to write, my friends, my passion, video games

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Artsy things, philosophy, logic. The logic of morality and how it often seems incongruous. The way people act, compared to what they say they believe. How to make more money. Video games. My writing. Brian Froud's art books (seriously).

Wow, and I just realized today (10/15/09) that I put a lot of thought into random things that pop into my head. I mean, I've been doing that all my life, but it just dawned on me that I pour over a sudden or unexpected detail as if it is a true problem whose solution is my complete intent.

On a typical Friday night I am

Getting home from work, doing my laundry, writing, wasting time, reading, and then going to bed to wake up at 9. Been like that for a year now. Before that it was even worse - I worked into third shift. Straight to bed. Busy busy.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

--Some day I want to become a crazy cat person. I have aspirations of purchasing weird cats like huge male ragamuffins and maine coons and probably dying from the subsequent asthma.

--I find smoking very sexy, for some reason. I don't smoke much myself (the occasional cigar and, ehm, non-tobacco plant), but I may be the kind of person who was responsible for cigarettes ending up all over movies.

--I just got out of a very committed, very stressful relationship. I will not be looking for that again. I am willing to form permanent relationships, including permanent casual ones, but I will not live for another person. This additionally confirms that I am polyamorous as of right now -- if this makes you think I'm somehow a shallow player-type I'm already insulted you exist, so don't bother.

You should message me if

You're looking for someone to talk to about random crap regardless of any other reason you're on this site, or you want to meet up and see what happens; playing video games and eating awesome food is a plus. I am really laid back, and do not like tension between people.

You like chaotic or bouncy people, you like having endless conversations about intelligent AND not-so-intelligent topics, you like coffee
You are artistic.
You like video games, especially party games, Smash Bros., SRPGs
You think 90's cartoons were the best, especially Cartoon Network in the 90's (including the older cartoons it showed), exception Transformers being the best cartoon ever (instant A+ if true)

You have to like cats. Oh my god this is not even debatable.

If I find another fan of Mandragora Scream I might fall in love on the spot. Update: the same goes for Charon because I just listened to them for six hours straight and enjoyed it completely.
