I am entering a new phase in my life and will boldly be going where I've never gone before! After being in an unhappy marital situation for what felt like forever, I am finally free! (and no, I did not kill him, he is still alive and kicking)! We are talking 17 years (not all were unhappy, thankfully) and I have to admit this feels a little strange to say the least! So, with that in mind I will be moving a little slow, but with moving being the operative word, that is all that matters!

Still starting over! I became a full time college student last fall (a few falls ago now, but as you read further you will hopefully notice, I always get back up!). Let's see, that would have made it my fourth career adventure! First a hairdresser, then a full time mom, professional volunteer (yes, that is a career choice. It doesn't pay much monetarily, but is much needed and necessary) and most importantly a teacher to my beautiful child (I home schooled full time for three years), a college student then eventually a medical technician (respiratory therapist)?

UPDATE: I am taking a break from school because of health issues (I got to join the growing number of cancer patients....YIPPEE!!!!! Is anyone else noticing this growing problem, or is it just me? Please feel free to comment as I would love to hear other opinions concerning this matter). So, if the school of hard knocks counts; I have completed my masters and am currently working on a doctorate! :)

Giving pep talks, then needing them back! Debating! I love a good ole" let's bang our heads together and show what we know, all in good spirit of course," debate! I love to challenge and be challenged, then kiss and make up! UPDATE: Someone mistakenly interpreted that to mean that I enjoy being confrontational (fighting in a nonconstructive way) nope, not it! If you're wondering what it means, ask, I will be more than happy to explain. If you couldn't care less, totally ignore this update! :-)

I suppose it would be my physique. I love to work out and I am told it shows. I think people notice how personable I am and how easy it is to approach me (open and friendly). I hope they notice how much I enjoy lending a hand.

Books: I mostly read books that have to do with enrichment, self discovery, and the human condition. I love reading about the metaphysical world and human potential. I also love history when it is spoken from the view of the conquered not just the conqueror. I spend a lot of time reading and exploring ideas concerning our countries state of affairs. Health (human, animal, planetary) and am trying like hell to understand why we are in 5 wars, why the news speaks nothing about Fukushima and why men are suffering from an estrogen dominate disease (amongst many other topics).

Movies: I enjoy many kinds of film, especially the scary sort that keep you guessing! Documentaries are a fav!

Music: I equally enjoy different kinds of music, just depends on my mood. I have to say though, I'm not a big fan of rap (the hard core stuff anyway) bluegrass (my roots don't run that far south) or screamo-death rock (I prefer to create my own, but in private, thank you).

Food:!!! What can I say, discovering new kinds of cuisine is an adventure I don't get to enjoy near enough! What fun! One request: Please make mine pesticide, insecticide, herbicide, rBGH, antibiotic, and GMO free!!!!!!!

The future and what lies ahead. It's challenges but also the rewards that better follow!! My daughter entering the world of college and adulthood :( & :). Finding peace, balance, contentment, and companionship. The health challenges I have and how to make the most with what I've got!

Not a party animal so you will not find me in a bar or club. I don't really have a special "Friday night thing" that I must do or else. I am happy going out, staying in, whatever fits best at the time. Besides, it doesn't matter what you're doing if you're in good company! Private parties can be fun too! I do know I am not a friend with benefits kind of person so, if that is what you are looking for.......keep looking!
