My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
*Please be aware that I do not respond to DTF?s, lewd comments, or empty hellos, with no attempt at actual conversation. I am the kind of person who puts a lot of effort into what I do and I am looking for a man who is willing and able to do the same*

Now that that's out of the way, my name is Rebecca. I am Ohio born and raised, but I am desperately looking to change that. I will be straightforward, I am looking to move to Charlotte, NC in the next few months. Ideally as soon as humanly possible. I have a degree in Psychology, and will be trucking on towards my masters here in a few months as well. Right now I work in the transportation industry full time and have a short-haired husky who is dumb as a box of rocks but is my whole world (so "must love dogs" applies).

Not a huge sports fan, but can get into a game of tennis, soccer, football, etc if it's what's on. I love video games and am heartbroken that my Xbox and PC have to stayed packed up for the upcoming move. I generally like all kinds of movies, but have a hard time taking time out of my daily routine to stop and watch them. So don't be offended if you bring something up and I say I haven't watched it yet. I have a VERY long "To Watch" list. I'll get to it eventually. Same goes for books and TV shows. Chances are I've heard of it, researched it, and everything else except for actually sitting down and watching it.

And while I'm being straight forward, I'll mention what I'm looking for in a guy. My partner has to also be my best friend. I've had guys that have played games, not known what they wanted, and eventually ended up cheating. So I will tolerate none of that. I would like to have someone who is okay with being affectionate, dressing up and going on fancy dates every once in a while, but can also just have a night of Netflix and stuffed crust pizza. And maybe a day out thrown into the mix every once in a while. Hiking, amusement parks, museums, driving aimlessly - I'm not picky. I just need someone to get up and DO stuff with.

I also simply want an adult, rather than a child. I'm all for video game nights and conventions and even stuffed animals if you're into that. I just need someone with the goals, stability, and motivation of a full-fledged or aspiring adult. At this point in my life, I really don't think that's too much to ask.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working full time, playing with my dog, and getting my life sorted out. I've been applying for jobs in North Carolina and plan to move as soon as I get one, if not sooner. I visited the city this past February and absolutely fell in love with it. The warmer climate, the downtown nightlife, the lack of snow.

I'm also in the process of going back to school for my masters degree. In the long run, I hope to either enlist in the Navy as a clinical psychologist for active duty soldiers and their families, or in the very least work closely with the military with my own private practice. I would also like to work with child development and parental psychology in the more short term, until I can get my doctorate.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Listening, compromise, and thinking outside the box, but I guess that comes with the territory when you want to be a therapist.
Daydreaming
Music - I've had some kind of instrument in my hand since as far back as I can remember. Music and music theory have always just come easy to me.
Determination - it may not be easy for me to always decide what I want, but once I do know what I want, I don't let anything stand in my way.
Love and forgiveness - I care about all the people in my life, and go all out for them (sometimes almost to a fault). I don't know a person that I wouldn't take a bullet for.
The first things people usually notice about me

Definitely my red hair. Also my first reaction when meeting new people while being shy and awkward is to smile a lot, so I tend to come off as very friendly, even though I might be nervous as heck. That quickly changes though once I get comfortable.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
My future, my job, my friends and family. I have a lot of plans for the short and long term, and while scary at times, they are also exciting to think about.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Either having friends over for food, drinks, video games and movies, or going out to movies or doing things like bowling.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've always wanted to be a fantasy author. My head is always spinning with ideas and plots, and has been since I was a kid. I just never have a lot of time for it any more. One day I hope to get back into it full force and see where it will take me. But until then I need to keep my real job so I can afford to eat and pay rent.
