My self-summary
I didn't realize this username sounded so redneck when I made it. It's a Star Wars line and I thought it was stupid enough to be a good name. Blame it on me being a Northerner.

I like Star Wars and making art.

I'd like to start a campaign to stop people from drinking PBR. It won one award 100 years ago and it wasn't even a blue ribbon. Drink good beer, folks.

I like to debate things and maybe even have a heated argument once in a while. Religion, politics, philosophy, art, music, world events, everything's fair game.

I'm originally from Chicago, been in Nashville about 7 years now. I still have a strong Chicagoan accent, don't think I'll ever lose it at this point.

I travel when I can. My mom is English, so I have a lot family in the UK.

I have a cat named Boba. I'm not saying he's the dumbest cat out there, but he's pretty dumb.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm working on a Master of Arts in Teaching. I plan to teach high school art when I finish.

I'm hoping to do more outdoor activities like camping and hiking, weather permitting. I think I'd like to do some rock climbing too, indoor or outdoor. I used to climb everything as a kid, I'm sure it'll be the same now that I'm 40. What could go wrong???

I've decide to learn the guitar. I expect to be playing like Rodrigo y Gabriela within a month.

I've started drinking more wine than beer lately. So, I'm pretty fancy now. (It's mostly box wine. I didn't want to become one of those snobby pretentious people.)
I’m really good at
Pointing out bullshit when I see it. There's a lot of it out there.

Trying to take over the world but failing at the last minute.
The first things people usually notice about me
I have distinctively blue eyes.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Doctor Who, Invader Zim, Battlestar Galactica, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Firefly, The Walking Dead, Fringe, Breaking Bad, Dexter, Sherlock, Jekyll, Deadwood, Carnivale, The IT Crowd, Eureka, Archer, Parks and Recreation, Game of Thrones, The Following.

Star Wars (Original trilogy only), Idiocracy, Blade Runner, The Lost Boys, Fight Club, The Goonies, Wristcutters, The Shawshank Redemption, Forrest Gump, Perfume: The Story of a Murderer, Blade, Equilibrium, Shaun of the Dead, Hellraiser, The Crow, Dark City, The Room, The Big Lebowski, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Big Trouble in Little China, Army of Darkness, Trainspotting, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Wall-E and many more...

Industrial has been my main genre of music, stuff like Frontline Assembly, Front 242, NIN, Sister Machine Gun. It's good music to sculpt to. If you know the artists under Wax Trax Records, that's who I like. Lately I've been listening a lot to Lightning 100 and the Indie and Alternative stations on Spotify. I've gotten into podcasts for running. My current choice is StarTalk with Neil deGrasse Tyson.

Mostly I'm just reading my grad school education texts recently. I have a ton of stuff on my Kindle. I've been trying to get into Infinite Jest, but it's just not grabbing me.
The six things I could never do without
All anyone really needs is breathable air, food and water. These are the things that make my life easier or better:

My art.
Other people's art.
My car.
My smartphone.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I think a lot about why everyone's so concerned about the zombie apocalypse. Most of you won't make it, so best not to think too much about it.

Do we really need greeting cards for things like Administrative Professionals Day???

Why do southerners consider things like thunderstorms natural disasters requiring them to empty the grocery stores of all milk and bread? And why only milk and bread?
On a typical Friday night I am
I could be at some art event, hanging with friends, working on grad school homework or rocking sweet A and E chords while I attempt to become a brilliant Spanish guitar god.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm a kale eater now. I don't know how or why it happened, but I like kale now. Yes, I'm one of those people.
(P.S. I haven't eaten kale in quite a while, so I'm not "that person" anymore.)

I can't stand the sound of other people brushing their teeth. It's like nails on a chalkboard for other people. Strangely enough, that doesn't bother me at all.
You should message me if
You're down with Star Wars.

You like or create art.

You're into geeky stuff.

You're a teacher or in education and want to chat about that.

You want to tell me an interesting, but useless, fact that I might not know.
