Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
So, I'm a slightly rotund jolly young gent with a penchant for tea,
chat and introspection (so don't worry if I start staring into the
foreground, I've just thought of something and broken my brain.
Give me a tap on the shoulder or a little kick and I'll come round
I''ve been living back in the Manchester Area for about 5 years
now. Before that I went to Uni at Edinburgh, and then I went the
opposite direction from home for an internship in Cornwall, where I
worked on an election campaign with the Lib Dems. I've always taken
things very seriously, and stayed busy over the past few years. Now
I want to start taking some time to enjoy myself a little and sort
out what on earth I'm going to do with my life.
I can be a little introverted sometimes, and I think I take a
little time to get used to someone, and what they enjoy talking
about After that, I can be quite opinionated and vocal. I'd like to
think I'm best at lending a sympathetic ear, even though this
sometimes requires me to bite my tongue.
I always have a lot of time to spare for my friends. I'm very much
of the opinion friends are the family you get to choose. I only
have a small circle of friends at the moment, but I'm always
looking to expand it.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Not much really. Life is a strange beast, so I'm trying to tame it
. I'm currently working at an insurance brokers, learning a bit
about the finantial sector and the inherant incompetence it seems
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
remembering useless facts
forgetting important facts
being very un-photogenic (I'm mid blink in about half the photos
people take of me)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
'I'd trade hair with you any day' - I've heard this more than a
couple of times so
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books; The Diskworld Series, and the other Pratchett books, David
Eddings' books and the Dune trilogy. Beyond that I'll read quite a
lot of things, usually Sci-fi or fantasy though. I've been
regularly going to waterstones this past two monts and they're
starting to run out of books I'd be interested in and havn't read.
If you know of any good second hand book stores in manchester I'd
like to know where they are.
Movies; Monty Python Movies, Enemy at the Gates, Serenity and
Ghibli films, but I'm not too picky, though I don't like many
Music; I like rock music, mainly the more glam rock artists like
David Bowie or Queen at the moment, but I also enjoy some of the
more modern bands. I also enjoy some soul, motown and so on, and I
also listen to some classical music every now and then, i
particularly enjoy the Baroque style. I'm also trying to get into
Jazz. I like some of it, other bits not so much.
Television; I've stoped watching much tv nowadays. Still, I love
yes minister, yes prime minister, life on mars, red dwarf and Star
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Something to read - I'll often find myself at an odd end without a
Satire - I like to keep up with politics, and the things that are
worth making jokes about are almost always important, so editorial
cartoons and private eye are things I love
Radio - Old fashioned enough to have one, modern enough to make
sure its digital. I have it on all the time, I love having music in
Games - Not just computer games, I mean anything from board games
to crosswords, just something that requires a little bit of thought
to keep me occupied - if anyone out there wants to play go with me
Im trying to learn but have no one to play with but the
Internet - Sad, but true. The internet provides me with access to
pretty much everything in the previous five things, music if I
don't want to listen to my radio, games, political satire and lots
to read. Skype also let me keep in touch with friends I cant see
all that often, so I'd say its very important to me.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
whatever I'm doing, I usually try to thing of ways of doing it
better. Though this usually just ends up in me getting distracted
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
At the moment, not much. I work saturday mornings. I do go out
saturdays but as virtually everyone I know now lives in London,
Scotland or somewhere else thats not near Manchester, I don't get
up to much. I think I'd like to remedy that
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have been known to sing Gilbert and Sullivan songs whilst in the
shower. I've forgotten most of the words now though...
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You fancy talking politics (preferably over a drink because these
days I'll need something to soften the blow)
You have a burning passion for Jazz music and want to tell me all
about it, because I know nothing but I'd really like to know more
If you just want to talk with someone or you're looking to make a
new friend, I could do with some more since all mine no longer seem
to live round here.
You think you might like me!, or just like me.
Or if you just find me interesting and want to ask me something,
quite possibly as part of a psychological study you're running.
