I am an eclectic,, witty, and fun-loving pessimist.
My Self-Summary
I'll be blunt (as well as whatever ya want me to be): I'm a
heterosexual
whose ideal fantasy is
MMF and not the
MFF threesome conventional wisdom expects
from straight guys like me. (Which technically makes me a
bisexual male, I
guess -- as much as the women in MFF scenarios are technically
bisexual
females. But I digress.):-P I don't have anything
against it mind you -- it's just that I've always wondered
why my fellow men have been into "helping" their womenfolk into
exploring their lesbian side; is it a "twofer"
thang?!?::shrugs::
I'm also a
cheap-ass who chose this free-dating
site above all others because I came across its
questionnaires in other
blogs, and liked 'em
enough to want to check out the site more. At present, I'm
36 (Tho I feel like
24) live in
Denver,
Colorado, -- and loving it
greatly, despite the efforts of The Real World and the various
suburbs outside this town's city limits to make it seem
hardcore-generic.
To paraphrase th' poet, do I contain multitudes?
Yes I
contain multitudes! Here are some:
I'm
honest yet
greatly value my
privacy. A
very shy guy who dreams of being an
exhibitionist. Musically, I like
everything from
Shostakovich to
Stockhausen,
Merle Haggard to the
MC5,
Areosmith to
Zappa. My main genre's teh
Rock n' Roll, but as
long as it's interesting, I'll
groove to anything from Americana to
Tropicalia to
World Music.
(I'd include Zither music if only to be alphabetical, but they
don't make Zithers like they uthed to.):oP
What I’m doing with my life
Working out at the gym a whole lot more than I used to -- which was
never. Doin' this mainly to lose weight and prepare for the kind of
job I'd like at the moment, which is one that involves a mix of
both decision-making and physical movement: I dunno, tree-pruning,
delivering packages, or fighting forest fires. Beyond that: going
way out of my proverbial comfort zone. (The handle's
"RecoveringLoner" for a *reason*...):-)
I’m really good at
Exercise, Making Art and memorizing things about Pop Culture and
Current Events. In Regards to at least Pop Culture: perhaps
too good, as the below will indicate.
The first things people usually notice about me
are probably my heignt, shagginess, and lack of eye contact.

The six things I could never do without
Exercise, Kindness (especially of Women), Reality (for lack of a
better term), Humor, Curiosity, Desire. Maybe my computer, though
not as way-too-much as it used to be...
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Ideology, Current Events, Art, Sex, and Working Out. More and more,
Working Out, Sex, and Art, less and less Ideology and Current
Events.
On a typical Friday night I am
shyly exercising, reading, watching a movie, or something.
I'd go dance by myself, but don't have the nerve to, or for that
matter the skill...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I'm scared about this
makeover phase I'm going through;
scared in a *good* way...
I used to have the excuse of my obsessions -- some of which are
described above -- to keep me busy. Nowadays, those obsessions
aren't much of a passion, and more public ones seem to be popping
up.
Even though I'm always up for a brilliant insight or a good
conversation, after at least 20 years, I'm no longer leading much
of a life of the mind anymore. Thank goodness; I *needed* a break,
especially after the past few years... ;-P
You should message me if
your curiosity has gotten the best of you after reading this -- in
spite of my unconscious efforts. Or, if I sound as interesting as
you are. Or both.
In any event: Enough about me. How about you? :-)
