I find it difficult to describe myself in such a short format without sounding banal, but here goes in a stream of consciousnesses way.
I am originally Canadian having come to the states with my mom when I was in Jr Highschool. Since then I have lived in Texas and Arizona and California a few times over the years. yep I've been nomadic a little too nomadic. Recently moved back to the city I love from an 8 month stint in Michigan. Nice place just wouldn't want to live there.
I am a person of contrasts. I am as comfortable in the finest restaurant or galleries as I am hiking a trail not having showered for a week, or talking with a Phd about there research or hanging in a dive bar. I have an insatiable curiosity about everything and will take any excuse for an adventure. I have been described as a gentle giant with a kind heart, and an old sole. I'm granite hard on the outside but soft and squishy on the inside.
I love the outdoors and go on several camping trips into the mountains or deserts every year. I love technology but still draw with a pencil for the tactile experience. I am currently an animator but started my career in Architecture. The profession turned out not to be a good fit but the education was amazing. I am laid back and flexible which some take as malleable but that is not the case. Books and learning are very important to me. My biggest problem at the moment is finding space for all the books in my apt. I like to try all sorts of new restaurants and hardly eat at home.
I'm looking for an active intellectual woman with a kind heart to share our worlds. She doesn't have to be a marathoner, I know Im not running a marathon, but being active and healthy is important. It would be great if she could teach me something about dance, theater or performance. I know nothing of those areas but I am well educated about art.
More to come....
