My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Left brain wise I am an IT consultant. I entered the field on a whim searching for internships on Craigslist. I showed up late to orientation but was the only intern who stuck through the program. I was hired as an analyst in 2013 and have made a full-time career out of it.

Right brain wise I'm a literature alumnus. I wrote my senior thesis on hip hop. Before college I never even liked hip hop. I lived with two roommates who couldn't get enough of it, and through osmosis the music stuck with me. Rap meshed with my love of wordplay, and now I believe hip hop is what is keeping poetry alive. It also got me writing poetry again.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am taking dance classes. I've gone from "absolute zero dancing" to "two left feet" in a matter of days! I hope to graduate to "okay dancing" by the end of the month. I know the basic steps for salsa, lindy hop, charleston, tango and waltz.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm a yoga enthusiast. A friend of mine from high school introduced me to the yoga for trade program. Now I volunteer to clean the studio and get free unlimited yoga. Currently working on handstands as a life goal.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I go by two different first names. Sometimes this allows me to get a second chance at a first impression.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
- Purity Ring hits a sweet spot for me, between the beluga-esque echoes of the production and lyrics about bodies.
- Pusha T. I admire his tenacity; he's been rapping about cocaine for 10 years and still does it better than anyone else.
- Future because he is the future, and because his raspy voice reminds me of Bob Dylan.

- Tofu, avocados, black beans, and broccoli make up my daily lunch. I am a weekday vegetarian.
- Taco Mesa on the quality of their grilled fish tacos, and Caliente Southwest Grill on the strength of their hot sauce collection.

- The paler and craftier the ale the better. My default is Stone and/or Sierra. My taste buds associate draft beer with beer pong.

- Anything Mike Judge. I love King of the Hill, I tell you what.
- Dave Chapelle. I still make Chapelle's Show in-jokes no one understands. If you do, we are friends.

- Neal Stephenson. The grand scope of his novels allow me to get lost in a vicarious adventure for a few precious hours while learning a thing or two about science/history.
- Gilles Deleuze. If you know him that's an instant dealmaker! I do not follow religion but a Deleuzian worldview is the closest thing I have to a dogma.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Bodyweight fitness is my primary form of exercise. At heart I am a minimalist and enjoy the idea of developing functional strength in everyday situations. Yoga, rock climbing, calisthenics, and running are my favorite physical activities.

My Nook is my home away from home. Reading keeps me sharp and exposing myself to new information all the time makes me feel like a genius.

I use my smartphone primarily for taking nature photos. Pretending I am playing Pokemon Snap in the park is my favorite solitary hobby.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How to live sensually and in moment without compromising my idealistic goals. Case in point - my dilemma in deciding to binge watch Orange is the New Black, or writing comedy sketches myself?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
On the Myers-Briggs scale I'm an INFJ. My strongest trait is that I am very open minded. This works against me because sometimes my brains fall out, and I give everyone the benefit of the doubt.
