Hi, I'm the type of girl who is pretty straight-forward, with little time or patience for crazy games. Not to imply that I don't like to get out and have a good time; just saying that I'll be honest with you and would be disappointed if you didn't feel you could do the same with me. I'm a great listener and a loyal friend. I'm a hard-worker and while I enjoy what I do, I enjoy my downtime even more and try to make the most of it. Would love to have someone to explore the corners of the world with, or at least our little corner.

I've lived in the Triangle area for over 20 years now. I'm from one of those divided houses - my mom taught at Duke, my brother went to UNC and I graduated from NC State. I love the area and am constantly surprised that I'm still finding somewhere new to go, something new to try.

I love the feel of the air right before a thunderstorm but want to be safely at home once the rain starts. If i can sit on the porch and watch it roll in, I'm a happy girl.

I've been in and around the veterinary medicine field for over 20 years. I've also worked in educational research and construction. I recently changed jobs, moved to a new apartment, and am enjoying the new challenges. I also run a side business so I stay pretty busy but also carve out time for quick trips around the state whenever possible.

I make a point to see friends and family at least once a week and to do something different every week.

Beng calm in a crisis, seeing both sides of a disagreement, and being there when my friends or clients need me.

Apparently my smile, I get that a lot. :). Actually, I think people usually notice that I can be a bit quiet, I like to take it all in and people-watch at first and then get comfortable and join the conversation.

Books: I've always got at least 2 books going. Usually a non-fiction (Eats, Shoots and Leaves) or classic (Adventures of Huck Finn) and popular fiction (even the Hunger Games trilogy). Currently working on Omnivore's Dilemma and My Horizontal Life (Chelsea Handler).
Shows: (my DVR deserves overtime pay) The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Chopped, Top Chef, Glee, Judge Judy, Big Bang Theory
Music: Almost anything from Ace of Base to ZZ Top as long as I can understand the lyrics. Current playlist includes Jace Everett, Tori Amos, Cat Stevens, Dido, Willie Nelson, Oona and about 30 more.
Food: always in the mood to try something new and interesting

What my next project will be as I'm not a huge fan of a lot of downtime. Currently trying to learn a new database system for work; knitting a scarf for a family member; exploring the roads of Durham, Orange and Wake Counties; putting together a new art project and planning my next weekend getaway.

Out to dinner with friends or hanging out at home if I'm scheduled to work Saturday morning.

Is that while I have a great memory for a bunch of things, I completely suck at history.

You're comfortable enough with your manhood to ride in a car with eyelashes. I love to be the driver and my girl has some fantastic lashes.
