My self-summary
Ok, so you haven't got scared by the red hair (1 bonus point to you!)...here goes...I would say I'm fun, easy-going and enjoy adventure - going mountain-biking, hiking, camping, snow-boarding and anything outdoorsy (is that a word?). I do tend to say yes to trying anything new, a weekend away and any evening plan going, which is good and bad - generally because I try to do too much and get bummed that I can't do everything. Recently went bouldering for the first time which was great, although my arms killed for about a week afterwards - something wrong with my technique methinks.

Got to say I'm a big fan of hanging out with friends in a coffee-shop (well, preferably outside it on a sunny day)...one of the best ways to relax...

I cycle to work every day which is always gets the adrenaline pumping as I tend to have a near-death experience with a bus or car most days. So far nothing fatal. At the moment I'm training for the Bristol 10k, and would to do another half-marathon later on in the year (that's the plan in my head anyway).

I worked in Sudan for a few years doing water and sanitation projects which was absolutely amazing. Best job ever. It meant I got to travel to most East African countries on my holidays (hard life I know). I've been to South Africa, Namibia, Egypt, some of the Spanish Islands. I really need to see more of Europe but a tad old for the cheap inter-railing thing now. Shucks.

Always up for travelling to places that most people don't go to - tends to make for better story-telling back home, lots more fun, and of course far superior facebook photos (I really hope my sarcasm comes across on this thing or I'm done for). I'm more than happy to do without creature comforts for a fab holiday (can always do a nice hotel at the end of the trip). Not the biggest fan of sitting on a beach, but love the water so as long as there is lots of water sports and things in do - then I'll be a happy girl. Easily pleased. As you may have gathered, I'm not your high-maintenance girly girl (good/bad...? answers on a postcard as I'm still trying to figure this one out).
What I’m doing with my life
You're still here!?! Realised I rambled on a bit before, I'll keep the rest short I promise...

I have a job!! Which is useful as I find it tends to keep me out of mischief (most of the time - the stories can wait for another chapter) and helps pay for most things in life. My job involves water and the constant worries (my boss does most of the worrying for us to be fair) as to whether we have enough of it in Bristol (have you guessed where I work yet?)

I'm involved in a local church and youth group, and a drop-in centre - which is always fun and keeps me on my toes trying to think of witty retorts to the most absurd questions.
I’m really good at
(this is what I've been told by friends as I would probably give a much shorter list): Listening, cooking, making friends from all walks of life and keeping them over long distances (thank God for Skype!), being cheerful in the morning much to my work colleagues horror.
The first things people usually notice about me
I have been told it's my smile - although I would have probably said my hair (people tend to recognise me and I haven't a clue who they are, most embarrassing - must be a cure for it in this day and age).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Don't really watch TV (lack of time trying to do everything and failing miserably), although my housemate has got me into Homeland...went through a Glee phase, but probably shouldn't admit that publicly!

Much prefer action and adventure films, and some good comedies.
The six things I could never do without
In no particular order of course...

Cereal (of the breakfast variety, but generally eaten at any hour)
Family & friends
Food
My mountain-bike
Sun, sea & sand
My Bible

...clearly I can't count...
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My next adventure and who I can take with me, when I can arrange to see my friends, my work with the church and my faith.
On a typical Friday night I am
Friday night is whatever really, but has to involve people (always helps for a more enjoyable evening I find)...helping run a local youth group, then hanging out with friends over a few drinks, or chilling at home or heading into town...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Come back to me on this one...
I’m looking for
  • Guys who like girls
  • Ages 27–52
  • Near me
  • For new friends
You should message me if
Well, you've managed to get this far...that's pretty good going...clearly (i) you have a heck of a lot of patience, or (ii) you have nothing better to do, or (iii) you're actually interested...I'll go for the latter as it's good for the ego.

Being serious for a sec (I can do that)...thanks for reading (skimming) all of this...if you're interested at all and think you can tolerate my poor attempt at humour then who knows...
