I am a rationalist and a realist with a short attention span for technology who likes to sit around and talk about stuff and junk like politics and the absurd and mundane and then go do stuff with seemingly normal people with acceptable thoughts and mannerism and good personal hygiene because I won't want to tell you if you smell but would feel obligated.

What I’m doing with my life

I need that master's degree and hopefully it will be soon, soon, soon. Besides that I'm not sure.

I’m really good at

Knowing and reciting random, nonsensical facts, being klutzy, book learnin', reading and a writing, waxing intellectual like, untying knots. deciphering bad handwriting, wasting time, finding cheap yet cool-looking accessories like a girl, talking acceptable smack when appropriate to improve one's mood like a guy, dangling things in front of my cat, McGyvering.

I guess I have a drier humor, I swear I am laughing with you. I am also pretty polite, because what comes around goes around.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

If books were crack I'd be dead. I have an obsession. I need help. I bounce around a lot. I like non-fiction, too. Once I find something interesting I stalk it and read everything I can about it until I am sated. I like books on philosophy, history, politics and science. At the moment I am looking for some new fiction to read and am looking for suggestions. Some of my favorites are Michael Chabon, Crane, Charlotte Perkins-Gilman, Sedaris, Vonnegut, A.M. Holmes and Jonathan Safran Foer.

The six things I could never do without

True story. I had to take this required survival class once. The basic premise is your plane can go down anywhere and how to survive in different terrains and climates. I feel pretty prepared for catastrophe. We learned to skin various creatures with a rock, how to milk cacti and boil your urine for potable water. All the nasty, gross things I hope I never, ever have to do.

I am not very materialistic. Stuff is just stuff. I hope I just never go senile or suffer from dementia. My brain is a warm and fuzzy place.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

...the random, the mundane and banal like why is do bagels always have holes ? and the basic narcissistic questions like, where do we come from? why are we here? what is my purpose in life? What now?

I also want to know where all those left socks go and if adversity leads to genius, Is there a God or is it just a meme that is ingrained into human psyche? I'm leaning toward the latter. Is there such a thing as a noble death, the Lazarus syndrome.

Also, I get songs stuck in my head all the time.

Oh and what does "available" mean on this site. Come on, shouldn't it really be "negotiable."

On a typical Friday night I am

I don't know yet, honestly. Sometimes I go out or go to a friends or take a short trip. I love going out to the woods and walking around, take my shoes off and wade in the streams and look at cute little animals and go "aww." Sometimes I stay at home, watch a movie and paint my toenails.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

-I think its kinda sad that there are no real secret, unknown places. The world is round and composed of certain minerals and so is everything else. If we thought we would sail into the abyss it's be more interesting.

I watch "Arthur" and Masterpiece Theatre.
