I'm a thinker (which is probably why I'm in a PhD program), but I also like to stay active, explore new places, and meet new people.

I'm originally from TX, but don't really have a desire to move back there. I was spoiled: I lived in CO for a couple of years and in St Andrews, Scotland for a semester. Ann Arbor isn't bad.

I'm on here looking for someone pretty rare: a girl who shares the same outlook on life in terms of her Christian faith and who also has similar enough interests that she won't be bothered by my choice to pursue a career in academia.

I like teaching and plan on writing books as part of my career. I hope that I'll get a chance to write for a wider audience and not just for my field of study. C.S. Lewis is pretty much my hero.

my sense of humor. At least, I hope that's what people mean when they say, "You're ridiculous."

Authors: C.S. Lewis, Dostoevsky, Tolstoy, and lots of old stuff. I read a lot of Greek and Latin literature for what I do in my studies and teaching.

Movies: Braveheart, GATTACA, The Fountain. I like movies that make you think, but also stupid/witty movies (like Peter Sellers' Pink Panther movies and Dr. Strangelove).

Music: I like classical music, soundtracks, bluegrass, electronic. Ex: Ben Folds, MEW, Owl City, Bon Iver, Mumford, etc.

Food: I like most anything. I'm not the biggest fan of fried foods ("Southern Cooking").

I once punched a pigeon in mid-air. I'm not very proud of it. I also really like bears and once petted one. I guess I should admit that I really like squirrels, too.

enjoy learning new things, like to do adventurous things, and want to lead a healthy lifestyle. I'm horribly allergic to cats; so, if you're really into cats, I'm sorry. Oh, and if you're not one of my current students.
