My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I consider myself to be pretty laid-back and straightforward. While those who know me best would consider me an introvert, I am very outgoing with new people. I have a somewhat dark, sarcastic sense of humor and enjoy being around people who can make me laugh by using wit. In general, I try not to take myself seriously and want to meet someone that I can have fun with!

In relationships, I have a strong belief that they should be mounted in friendship. That is to say that both people are friends first, lovers second. I've noticed that the couples who last the longest have a friendship that surpasses the boundaries of the normal sense of the word and instead become something more.

My screen name is sort of silly, but I suppose it comes down to my love of pancakes and the sad amount of time I put forth into reddit.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Currently getting my masters in education after graduating with a degree in Fine Arts. I intend to become an art teacher or go into children's (art if possible) education at a museum or organization. Woo!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
1. Drawing, painting, weaving- art in general (I'm a jack-of-all-trades artist)
2. Ice Skating
3. Working with Kids
4. offbeat humor; seeing the irony
5. Being a creative problem solver
6. I am fully proficient in making boxed macaroni

What I'm bad at (since this should be considered too)
1. Lying- I'm a bad liar so I tend to avoid it altogether
2. Not spending $20+ when visiting Hobby Lobby
3. Subtle signals
4. Starting a book and never finishing it
5. Checking my email
6. Procrastinating :-/
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
People usually notice my height. However, I don't really think about it specifically. I've also been told that I have an aura?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Currently reading: The God Delusion, Killer Germs, Game of Thrones, and other various philosophy and education based research articles. But for my favorites, I love Watership Down, The Hot Zone, The Viral Storm, Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain, and Watchmen.

I hate horror movies but I love most R-rated comedies and Sci-fi. My favorites would be The Hangover, Bridesmaids, Gladiator, Watchmen, Star Wars, Princess Bride, Wayne's World, The Fifth Element, Serenity, The Big Lebowski, Kill Bill etc...

I pride myself on liking a lot of different music. At the moment you'll most likely hear any of these artists: Mando Diao (the unplugged stuff is best) Tom Petty, Pink Floyd, Chris Isaak, The Black Keys, REM, The Pretenders, or Drivin and Cryin. I've been listening to podcasts as well- This American Life, Wait Wait Don't Tell Me and Radiolab are probably my favorites at the moment.

I don't watch much TV but I love watching shows on Netflix when I'm painting. (Its too hard to watch TV for it's own sake) I love the X-Files, Futurama, Firefly, Archer, Bones, Dexter, Star Trek: Voyager, Warehouse 13, Criminal Minds, and Trigun, but generally it's just whatever gains my interest.

I love any spicy or ethnic food
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. The Internet (reddit, obviously...)
2. Art Supplies (this includes paint, canvas, a sewing machine and cloth, metal, etc.)
3. Sunglasses
4. Nalgene bottle.
5. Jeans. I wear them literally 95% of the time and usually cuffed at the bottom :)
6. My family and dogs (they made the cut!)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What I'm going to do with my life and where it's going. I guess I'm not really sure, though I know that art and kids will always be a part of it.

New development: I like to think about why people on okcupid send me crazzzzzy messages!
For example, rickim420 recently sent me a message that said, "do you want to have sex you look really fun". My favorite part about this message is its poetic, yet painfully truthful, representation of a lusting, horny 20-something who's attempting to get some in this lonely online community of ours. Thank you rickim420 for your message, and no, we aren't going to have sex. (But thanks for the compliment about me being fun!)
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
On my computer- reddit specifically, studying, reading, or engaging in various art activities.

While I take my relationships and friendships very seriously, I want someone who is willing to relax and just have fun. :) I also appreciate people with a love for travel and those with ambitions and goals.
Also, as a tall woman, I'd prefer someone who was at my height or taller. I have dated some awesome average height guys, but it was hard for me to adjust to it :(
