I am a Native Texan, but I have lived abroad and traveled extensively, now I am director of the largest division of successful local law firm, and proudly making BP pay for what they did to my Gulf Coast. I am a season subscriber to the Houston Symphony and I got a year of unlimited yoga classes, so that's what I do. I call myself a "Buddish-Atheist".

I spent a lot of time abroad and now I am focusing on my career. I have already accomplished most of the goals I set for myself, mostly because they revolved around seeing the world, and I am currently making new ones for my future. I love my career but I want to make time to meet new people.

Making people laugh, picking music to share with people, sniffing out awesomely authentic ethnic food dives in dodgy parts of Houston.

Writing concupiscent haikus. If you know what that means, I'll write one for you, just ask.

Strangers stop me to comment on my eyes, that's kinda creepy, but I'm always flattered. Some people tell me they are blue, others say they are green.

My all time favorites are The Alchemist, 100 Years of Solitude, Love in the Time of Cholera, A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, House of Leaves, anything by Vonnegut, and The Unbearable Lightness of Being.

I love Indian food, Thai, Vietnamese, Sushi, British Pub food, and Cajun.

I'm a Red Sox fan, but not a sports fanatic, I prefer the arts.

In a First World Country: Yoga, my MacBook, Sushi, nice suits, Pinot Noir and Reddit.

In a Third World Country: a backpack, a mountain or beach, a humanitarian project, weird ex-pats, street food, a camera.

I think about how much time good people waste on television, dead end jobs, sitting in the drive thru to eat awful food, religion and bad relationships.

Beard or no beard?

Cooking and listening to some music on vinyl or reading a book over a bottle of wine. I don't go out much apart from the Symphony or the occasional dinner. I'm mostly a homebody.

Books make me cry, but movies don't (except one and I won't admit what movie publicly, but I watch it once a year if I have a special person to watch it with.) Want to guess?

You are someone who has travelled or has lived abroad. A liberal, but not a partisan. I would like to have fun with someone without having to hit the bars.

If you have kids, I'm cool with that, just no jealous husband/crazy baby-daddy problems, please. I would love to do family style zoo dates and the like.

A freethinker or Buddhist, someone who also knows how to cope with a busy schedule. You don't use drugs and you deplore violence and bigotry.
