I'm Dan.

I'm really laid back and I have a dark sense of humor. I like to make people laugh, and I am pretty good at it. The philosophy I preach and try to abide by is "Don't be a dick."

I am a huge nerd. I love video games and board games and science and learning about stuff. However, I am also outgoing and sociable, and I really enjoy meeting new people. I'm always looking for new things to do or try or experience.

My interests include: anything outdoors, video games, board games, beer, trying new food, hanging out with friends, reading books, tinkering with things, spontaneous adventures, intellectual conversation, silly conversation, and meeting new people who share my interests.

I am working full time as a design engineer making medical devices.

I'm kind of a big deal.

Books: The Name of the Wind, A Song of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones), The Forever War, A Spell for Chameleon, The Last Kingdom, Harry Potter.

Movies: Lord of the Rings, The Dark Knight, Avatar, Boondock Saints, The Matrix, The Usual Suspects, Step Brothers, anything Pixar or Disney. Hell, anything anything. I like movies.

Shows: Sons of Anarchy, South Park, Breaking Bad, Dexter, Game of Thrones, Futurama, The Walking Dead, Star Trek, Supernatural, IT Crowd, How I Met Your Mother.

Music: Bad Religion, Five Iron Frenzy, Reel Big Fish, The Real McKenzies, Sonata Arctica, Flogging Molly, System of a Down, Green Day, NOFX, Korpiklanni, Mumford & Sons, Lady Gaga, Tenacious D, TSO. Also pretty much anything else.

Food: ALL THE FOOD. But my top 3 are Sushi, Mexican, and BBQ.

1. Food. It keeps me alive and tastes delicious.
2. The Internet. I have no idea how we got by before its invention.
3. Beer. Nectar of the gods, the sweetest ambrosia.
4. A car. I like to move around a lot and visit friends in distance places. I also wouldn't be able to get to work without it.
5. Good friends. No way I'd get by without my crew.
6. Books. Useful for entertainment and learnin. How about that.
7. Bacon. I cannot count.

The way stuff works and/or how it was built.

Meeting up with friends, generally in LA or SD. Finding a party or kickback and drinking with interesting people.
If I want a quiet Friday/weekend I'm generally playing video games or watching Netflix.

I enjoy musicals. Like, a bunch. There, I said it.
