My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
My name is Evan and I'm a resident physician in emergency medicine. My brother and I used to have this plan: when we are both in residency, we are going to see who can speak to their patients the longest in nothing but Gladiator quotes. I figure I’ll begin with, “death smiles at us all, all a man can do is smile back,” before adding a passionate “am I not MERCIFUL!?”….. Too much?

If you haven’t guessed, anyone that knows me would say I have a big personality and love to talk constantly. Also if you haven’t guessed, Gladiator is by far the best movie of all time. Don’t worry though, I like a wide array of films from psychological thrillers Black Swan and Memento, nerdy fantasies such as Star Wars and Lord of the Rings, and yes, even some romantic-type stories like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and 500 Days of Summer (try not to faint). But enough about movies.

I grew up an ice hockey player, and still play whenever I can, so I will most definitely drag you ice-skating before long. I also love wakeboarding and waterskiing at my family’s lake house in northern Michigan. If you’ve never experienced the joy of floating on the water being pulled behind a boat, you’re missing out! And if you haven’t figured, I am a huge sports fan. I can watch basically any sports game but am into hockey, college football, and tennis most of all. Going to the games is even more fun and of course, I am loyal to all of my Michigan teams. Go Blue! Go Red Wings! We will get along fantastically if you are a sports fan, even if we root for different teams (who doesn’t love a friendly rivalry?).

What else? This description wouldn’t be complete without saying that I tend to be really opinionated and talk about politics and current events quite a bit. In addition, I may be somewhat of a euchre fanatic and have been known to get really competitive when playing (if you don’t go alone with right/left/ace, you’re doing it wrong!). If you don’t know how to play, I would love to teach you!
