I am humble, laid-back, and fun-loving.

My Self-Summary

I never really know how to fill these things out. Whenever I do, I try to make myself seem as interesting as possible. But, when I read it later on, it never seems to sound the way I want it to. Keeping this in mind, I will just give a general and accurate description of myself, using my three handy-dandy adjectives. :)

I said that I am humble. I am a very modest person, and I am not proud or arrogant. A lot of the time, people mistake my humble nature for low self-esteem and self-worth. This isn't true, because I know what I am capable of and I know what I am best at. I just try not to flaunt it. Why? I just want to avoid being one of those people who just talk about themselves and how awesome they are. I don't like people like that.

I also said that I am laid-back. This is probably one of my most prominent features. There are not many things that shock me or make me angry. I'm open-minded, and because of that people feel comfortable to come to me when they need to talk. I enjoy this part of myself.

The last adjective I used to describe myself was fun-loving. I really enjoy having a good time. I am usually up for anything ranging from sitting around playing videogames to fooling around riding bikes inside of Walmart to hanging out in a club. Since I am a gay man in the middle of a bunch of straight men, sometimes it is difficult to find times outside of my dorm room where I can relax and be myself. So, when there is a chance to, I normally do it.

Ok, I am out of adjectives to use, so I'll stop this part now and save the rest for the specific areas later. :)

What I’m doing with my life

From August to May, I am a full-time student at Rochester College, where I study psychology. From May to the end of August, I work so that I can make sure that I'll live through the next school year, lol. My current long-term goal is to become a well-known psychiatrist. That would be the bees knees. But other than that, I am doing what I can to have fun. I'm always looking out to meet new people and make friends.

I’m really good at

I am really good at many forms of art. Before I ended up at this school, I was an art student. Even though I've abandoned my hopes of being an artist, I still love to draw in my free time. I'm also pretty good at videogames. I'm kind of a nerd. Specifically I like role-playing games like Final Fantasy, and online games like World of Warcraft. On a more serious note, I'm good at listening to people problems and forming a response on it, if they want me to. Otherwise, I'm good at just listening and letting people vent. It's what I do.

The first things people usually notice about me

Usually the first thing people have noticed is my left ear. I have an industrial piercing, and I like it. But if we're talking about my personality and not physical appearances, I'd say that people often notice how polite I am. I often hear my friends say "Oh yeah, Sally-Sue said she liked you because you're really nice." Not really Sally-Sue, I made that up. But you get the picture. :)

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I am a hardcore murder mystery fan. I love authors like John Sanford, James Patterson and Dean Koontz. I also enjoy funny authors like Janet Evanovich. Fantasy novels like Harry Potter are good as well.

I like movies that retell actual events. Currently, my favorite movie is "The Other Boleyn Girl." But I enjoy all movies, actually. I am usually willing to watch movies of any genre. Everyone loves the occasional slasher movie. :D

Music. My musical tastes could be described as eclectic. I will listen to any type of music, as long as it sounds good to my ears. This often excludes rap and most country music, but everything is given a chance. My favorite type of music is techno. I'm pretty sure that the most played song on my iPod is either "Granite" or "Slam" by Pendulum.

I don't really have a favorite food. I eat lots of different types of food. It really switches with the day.

The six things I could never do without

Friendship, Techno, Technology, Music, Showers, and Art.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

My mind is scattered all over the place. I will think on something for hours until I've exhausted every bit of it. I tend to over-analyze things.

On a typical Friday night I am

Depends on the Friday night. Like I said, I love to go out and party, but sometimes I enjoy a nice evening in my dorm reading a book or playing videogames. I can appreciate both extremes.

You should message me if

You should message me if you find me interesting. So basically, anyone can send me a message. It's cool to at least meet new people.
