I am sarcastic, have ADD, and umm what?.

My Self-Summary

I'm solving the crisis in Sudan and I love walks on the beach, kittens, unicorns...yeah right

Let's be honest. I haven't won a nobel prize nor are my viewpoints on life so profound that you'll swoon.

I'm average...educated, 35 year old, IT guy. (This is why I'm not in Sales). My friends are all married (I'm divorced) and I don't want to meet girls at a bar.

I've been enjoying being single but there are things that I miss about being in love: having sometime to come home to, to wake up with, to just sit and watch movies with, to go places with, explore, learn, to talk about nonsense...and to laugh with.

I'm an atheist (or rather agnostic) bleeding heart liberal but far from a treehugger.

What I’m doing with my life

I like to learn foreign languages . Right now I can annoy you in German, Spanish and French. Taking Italian and/or Hindi soon. I basically do rosetta stone and/or take a college class before I visit a country (and then usually end up speaking english lol).

I really enjoy learning about history and different cultures--not just eating their food and visiting museums/monuments--but spending time with people and learning about their experiences and ideas and how it affect their views as well as society. [that was a really long sentence, i know]

I'm a part time mortgage agent--1. so I can extra cash to travel more and 2. so I don't become a total computer geek. It's interesting to learn about finance/markets when most of your day is spent looking at code.

I also do a couple charity things including organizing fundraisers for an orphanage in India (ramanas.org) as well as Democratic party stuff. I want to be more involved in the community and it would be great if my partner were too.

I’m really good at

-IT, unfortunately. No, I will not fix your computer.

-making people laugh. i can be really funny...except when someone says "oh my friend here is so funny"...then i'm like deer in headlights

-making friends. i'm like the bob marley of conversation (everyone loves bob)

-arguing about politics...but I've kinda realized that after a certain age, people really get stuck in their ways and ideas...so I kinda chilled out.

The first things people usually notice about me

Usually my voice (or my laugh). I was raised in Ontario, Canada and moved later to PG and Montgomery counties. So my voice sounds a little twangy but..i dunno...just Not Indian.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Recent Books I liked - The Namesake, The Orientalist, Eat, Pray, Love (that book is so gay...but good), Outliers.

I'm a movie nut. I like all kinds from stupid-plot blockbusters to rare foreign artsy/abstract films. Foreign films are my favorites...Amelie, Blue, Il Postino, The Lives of Others

music everything...rock, r&b, classical, rap, metal, blues. i love opera and classical too. I've been going to the kennedy center a lot recently.

Food...Everything! Spicier=better

I used to be vegetarian so I don't mind dating one. I would consider becoming one again, if you're really hot. :)

The six things I could never do without

1. hot sauce
2. huffington post
3. my blackberry (i swear i'm gonna throw it out of my window one day)
4. hard-wood floors
5. theonion.com
6. sushi

I spend a lot of time thinking about

-German grammar rules

-when Dave Chappelle will do another show

-how destructive religion is

On a typical Friday night I am

hanging out with friends at lounges, bars and restaurants in the dc area.

or

staying home, reading a book or watching a movie

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I always wanted to be a comedian...or an opera singer. Either way you'd laugh.
