My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I was born in Halifax but have lived in Ottawa since i was five. I feel like I've kinda been too stuck in the books. I know I probably come across as brusque, cocky, arrogant, self-assured but it's all bullshit.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working on my degree at Carleton University. I'm taking a Bachelor of Humanities (which isn't exactly great for jobs, but amazing) with a minor in Greco-Roman studies (also useless) and a double major in Linguistics (suprisingly useful). I know that I want a higher degree whether that means graduate studies, a professional degree, or both. Currently looking at some Linguistics grad programs, as well as International Development/Relations. We'll see.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Talking. Talking at great length, talking down to people, talking people down, talking out of both sides of my mouth, talking shit, talking to trees, even talking to myself, though I get tired of listening after a while... I also like to think I'm a reasonably good student. I've done some acting, singing, and I do some basic piano. I'm working on learning guitar as well.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
hopefully not my nose...probably my attitude

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My Laptop/The Internet
Audiobooks/An Mp3 player
Language/My Voice
Humor/Someone to share it with
Conversation/Someone to have it with
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Anything except the task to hand. Literature, the future, gender and orientation, politics, metaphysics, existence of god, the non-existence of objective truth, novels i'll never finish, how little stuff i'm getting done, my own morality...

Though more often these days it's very pedestrian stuff like words, pop culture, and deadlines.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
It varies. One week I might be out till 6AM, the other I might spend the entire night on the internet, another I might be actually working on a paper.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I wrote this profile originally when I was barely out of high school and only looked back recently. Now a lot of those rejections make more sense. (I still had Big Bang Theory under my favourite shows for fuck's sake)
