My self-summary
I'm the type of guy who'll laugh at the jokes on popsicle sticks and candy wrappers.

I'm a goofball. I like to learn. New skills being as interesting as flat-out knowledge, I'm a vagabond hobbyist who's put his hand to several different things at one point or another. I've cashed checks for watching cartoons. Likewise for playing video games. I've carved foam for Halloween. I knit Continental style, but can throw if I have to. On roller skates, I can do all the single jumps except for axels reliably (probably, it may have been a while). I have my own (terrible) mobile game on Google Play. I'm working on a better one.
What I’m doing with my life
Last year, I thought I'd learn to play guitar, but I've put a lot more hours into Lindy Hop. I can hum and strum the drinking song from Jaws though, which is probably all I need.

This year I think I'll learn to play guitar.
I’m really good at
Frying steaks and brussels sprouts.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Last Chance to See, Good Omens, 11/22/63, Born Standing Up, I help organize a local book club, where the book selections are pretty eclectic. It's fun. I will read most anything. I finished The Magus.

Movies: Hot Fuzz, Ghostbusters, Enthiran, Big Trouble in Little China, Sharknado, Groundhog Day

Music: I still put together mix CDs for my car, since it's just old enough to not have an audio jack for an mp3 player. The last one I burned had The Who, Cake, Ellie Goulding, Queen, Kanye West, Laura Veirs, and Lake Street Dive on it.

Food: Anything grilled, fried, or smoked.
The six things I could never do without
Books,
Bourbon,
Baked goods,
Fudge,
Music,
Tandem Charleston
I spend a lot of time thinking about
code, baking, theme parties, karaoke, bad movies, and sick dance moves.
On a typical Friday night I am
I see sometimes people write here, "There is no typical Friday night," which I think sounds kind of cool, but I'll put a range on it. For me it could be movie night with friends, netflix or reading if alone. If the right kinda band is in town, I could be dancing. If I'm on a food kick I could be cooking or baking, and if I'm on a "making" kick I'd probably be coding or knitting.
You should message me if
You want to go singing, dancing, or skating, if you want to make a tiny knitting circle or talk about books.
